Got the parts back yesterday.

Pretty much finished it today. (I can't find my spring for the forward assist.) And I need some sights.

How are y'all getting the BB to look so goldish looking? The BB I've seen looks more like the Iowa hawk glock slide.
My rifle is at the shop getting cerakoted in BB (upper, lower, and FFtube) FDE (everything else) no black on the rifle.
Went down there today to drop off the parts and thay had a 1911 and a FSP for an AR and it looked more like a dull brown
than the gold color.

I think it may be the lighting.  Certain angles of mine make it look more gold, while a softer light gives it a deeper brownish color.  Either way, pics don't really do it justice (at least not with my photography skill level).

Buy using the cameras flash.
Mine is darker under natural lightning.  More gold under bright light.

@ colt: Should be done by sat. I hope! I got sent the wrong buffer tube, called yesterday and was told its going out now.
I didn't receive an email so, I called today and was told it didn't ship. The guy on the phone told me he was truly sorry and told me he was packing it up himself.
Everything is getting painted and assembled other than the tube.  When the buffer tube gets their fri it will be painted, cured, and assembled to the lower.
We are having a work day at the range Sunday so, I'm hoping it will be in my hands Sat. evening.

To answer your question, a week. Less than that if there wasn't a problem with my order and shipping.

They told me three weeks. Maybe less since I sent them everything disassembled.  They called me SEVEN days after they got it, to tell me it was done!!

I swapped out the stock for a MOE rifle stock.

Thanks.

Yes it's burnt bronze Cerakote, I'm pretty sure they are the only ones who makes this color.

Ya I read a few more pages, which I should have done first I guess, and see that it is.  Thanks for the response though, this color looks amazing.  I wanted to do FDE on a lower but I really think this is the way to go now.

Are all of these after-market colored to burnt bronze or are some of the uppers/lowers/rails sold that way? I have seen MI rails sold in FDE, but not burnt bronze.

I believe they are all after market cerakote. Mine was. I haven't seen any dealers that sell parts already coated.

I searched on Cerakote and found a few shops in Atlanta that do this, but their websites don't have pricing and it is late. What is a reasonable price for an upper/lower and handrail? Is burnt bronze a "standard" color that they will understand immediately when I mention it?

I was also curious, does this process fully coat the inside of the upper and lower receiver or just the exterior surfaces?
