Sadly I haven't tried it with any ir functions or got to shoot with it yet. I can say though that the look and feel compared to other copies and versions is way higher quality in materials and it certainly has more weight to it. Doesn't feel like the typical cheap hollow plastic versions. |

I'm waiting to the end of the month for PA to release the new 3X mini prism scope. The 1X is out now. |

View Quote This upper is 223/5.56, but I have another Aero slickside set aside for a 300 or 350 barrel, still deciding. With the 70 grain Speer SP's I loaded up I feel confident out to 100 yards or so. They are a good bullet for 223 rifles, but the short barrel on this is a limiting factor. It is for woods hunting so distances are short. I have been leaning prism for this as well. Looking for one with fairly long eye relief tho. |

The hand guard slides on snugly to where it really stays on without anything additional but it just so happened that the hole on top of the hand guard aligned perfectly with a slot in the top rail of the BRN180 so the bolt could slide across. I had to remove the heat shield, one of the molded in bolts and some of the plastic from the interior of the hand guard and cut a section off of the rear end of it off to get it to work. No mods were needed to the BRN180. I cut a section off of the top of the G36 HG at the front end to access the rail to install a front sight but need to take more material off. This HK part slides right over the factory hand guard. I think there are 3 sizes of G36 hand guard and this is the longest one. The middle sized one might be a better fit on this application. The one pictured is a real HK part. I just ordered an airsoft version of the middle sized G36 HG in FTE to try on another BRN180S upper I have coming in. I’ll mod that up and update in this thread. |
