@tortilla-flats Just found these - Retro Rifles - 7 hole double heat shield is an option I don't have any experience with them, but thought I'd share so you can check them out. |

Well, I have shot them a bit between R&D and test fire/zeroing. Our gas port is at .081”-.082”. Function and accuracy are excellent. We use the same barrel for our XM177/XM177E1 uppers and pistols. There has been no negative feedback |

I’ll be ordering the TIA flash hider from PSA this week. Stupid me, I ordered one from Retro Rifles before doing my research. Ordered in March and haven’t received my order, even after they took payment. I’ve had one reply from them saying they were waiting on their suppliers to send the muzzle device. All of my other emails and messages have been ignored. I didn’t realize PSA had made the TIA muzzle device until after I had ordered the Retro Rifle one. It’s the last part I need to finish the build. |

733 clones to use as basis (mine). Not perfect clones at all however, pistol grips on both are authentic Colt 1980s A2 pistol grips and quite unique. There's nothing like these today. Thanks! It’s a Surefire M16 barrel mount. I used a chinesium top part (that goes between the barrel and gas tube) since I had to butcher it to make it fit. The M16 mount is made to go over the top of the gas tube and under the barrel, but for the sake of cloneing I fit it in between. There’s lots of cheap knockoff ones on Amazon. Just search “AR15 barrel light mount”. The ring came with the mount, but you can still buy the 1” weaver rings in matte finish. Don’t overpay in the EE for something that’s still made. The ones that came with the Surefire mount literally say “Weaver” on them. https://www.weaveroptics.com/rings/1-rings/detachable-top-mount-rings-1-inch/1000213.html The Weaver part number is 49040. |
