Here's another one I just started using tail end of the spring/early summer varmint season.  Thing shoots, too, as shown on the new GotoGun Challenge.

I know they are not very popular anymore, but there is a lot going for the A2-style rifle layout when stubbiness isn't needed.  Not nearly as heavy as some shorter jobs.

And here's another plug for the new shooting Challenge. Heck, it's even named after this thread!!

I just picked up a Badger 1.70 mount and moved my Kahles to my new 11.5. I'm really liking this Sionics barrel. I'm getting a little over 1 MOA with cheap 55gr Fiocchi .223. Might even do better with more mag. Awesome barrel for under 200 bucks. I'm hoping my 75gr. BTHP match loads do even better. Still waiting for my stamp.

Yes.
Well the point (and the debate) with these is as follows (online and offline): Browe is an ex employee of Trijicon's.
Inner workings must be very similar to ACOGs 4x32 (looking through the optic I will tell you I can't see any difference - and I'm told that it's by design).

The point is, however, that since these are marketed at the same price as ACOGs (new), one would choose ACOGs.
I frankly agree to this; I didn't buy this optic new and I wouldn't have.

While it's truly a replica of an ACOG (probably with some enhancement?) one thing - market wise and value retention - is a Trijicon; another thing is an obscure brand that nobody knows about (and the company has been around for quite a while).

Hence, if you find it used AND at a smart price, well then be it. Otherwise, I don't think I would do it.
I paid for this one - which looks new - USD700

I am pretty much positive you can buy as many as you want, they are just considered Destructive Devices and require a $200 Tax Stamp per round and the usual 1 year wait time for the BATF to sign a piece of paper, oh yeah, and actually view a computer screen during a NICS check instead of the standard pass or delay computer prompting a person to view a screen, which mostly they can not do.  I have read that even now, in the year 2019, computers would provide a better medical diagnosis than an MD and in the very near future MD's will only input your symptoms into a computer which can provide better diagnostic results and specific prescription referrals than current MD's can.  Why then, can't we automate the NFA Background checks like, tomorrow?

First You will need your Federal Explosives Permit.  Same as any demolition Contractor.  Actually not extremely difficult to receive.  You would need to go to your FFL that has an SOT. then you can purchase as many as you want each with a $200 Tax Stamp.  Here is the guys who make them for you- Pricing and Availability, contact below.  Then like a Can, they send to him, he need the Explosives License too BTW and wait until you get approved.  See all this stuff is completely Legal and doable.  Politicians never wanted these NFA items banned, they just didn't want us lowly laymen to have these things.

Please call for more information- e-mail: [email protected]

I believe their are 12 or 15 SOT holders how actually can also posses Explosives as of now, you just better hope one of them is in your Home State or be able to buy a second Home.

I'm relatively familiar with the process. I checked in on it last year. We just bought a house and I honestly did not think of this while purchasing the new digs... google earth shows I can't fit a magazine on the property without being within 70 feet of an inhabited building or how many ever feet of a "highway" which is really any fucking public road.

I am a Building Contractor, I was able to get most of my information on Explosive Destructive Devices from a Friend that does my Blasting work.  If you know someone who does Drilling & Blasting work, that would be a good source for you.  They can get you the contacts for Explosives Licensing.  The guy who does Our Blasting isn't some kind of Genius, just a normal Joe Blow with a Blast Box on a F450, he does have a bit of land but his shop is definitely not 70 ft. from the road.  More like 50ft.  His shop has a Residential Dwelling Within 100 yards too.  Yeah there's a house right above him maybe 200ft. away.

I plan on getting the necessary permits and doing Blasting on the side.  Lots of Ledge in Maine so there is quite a calling for it.  It's crazy to think, before the bombing of the Oklahoma City Fed Building you could get Dynamite at the Hardware Store.  Literally, you could buy small amounts of Dynamite whenever you wanted.  Farmers used to use a lot of it to get rid of stumps or rocks in Their fields.  I actually have a Farmer Buddy that does have some HE 12 Gauge Rounds to kill SeaGulls in mid flight and they FOKIN work, boy do they!  Shoot them straight into a Flock of hovering Gulls and the shockwave just pops Their little lungs.  Killing a few keeps all of the Gulls away form His Blueberry Fields for about a week for some reason.

The distance required is 70 feet, if barricaded, from an inhabited building and 30 feet from a public road. That's for 5 or less lbs. The numbers jump up based on weight of HE.

Colt LE6920 converted to Mk18. Had ADCO cut it to 10.3" and open the port to Crane spec, dropped in an H2 buffer, and switched out the GI trigger for a Geissele Super Dynamic Combat. That's pretty much it.

Also bought a bunch of Colt branded Okay Industries GI mags with the tan follower.

At some point, I want to switch from the PRO to a CompM4, and switch the Surefire over to one that takes AAs. Basically I want all my battery powered stuff to take AAs. That way my sight, light, IR/visible laser, and PVS14 will all take the same batteries. Forget paying 15 bucks for two 123As that only have an hour runtime.
Just because I live in my parents' basement doesn't make my unfounded opinions any less valid.

CR123a"s are not that bad anymore.  You should look into buying bulk online.  I buy bulk Lithium CR2's, AA, AAA, CR123A, & 2032.  As a comparison- TRY THESE PRICES and never PAY hardware store battery prices again

Might even do better with more mag. Awesome barrel for under 200 bucks. I'm hoping my 75gr. BTHP match loads do even better. Still waiting for my stamp.

What did that Optic cost and what does it weigh? Very nice pistol/carbine.  PM me if you don't want to publicly display finances please.

I also buy from there.  They have good prices and their brand CR123s are not bad.

I have several "Go to" weapons, but mostly the 10.5" AR pistols are what are in the front of the safe along with the shotguns.

The FDE pistol in the pic is for my son.  Picture was before I finished it.  Top one same as pic above, just added new FH.

Thanks!  Not sure on the weight, will have to get a battery in the scale and get back to you.  Its not a lot though even with the loaded 40rd mag and scout light on it.

@M-4matus - put battery in the scale.  Pretty sure it's not accurate though.  says loaded with 40rd mag 8lbs.   Unloaded said 6.6lbs

IIRC, I paid $1750 for the Kahles about a year ago. I picked up the Badger mount a couple of weeks ago on sale from Brownells. It was like $260 or so. My scope weighs 17oz from what I've read, but I've never weighed it. Not sure what the mount weighs. Noticeably heavier than just a T2, but not bad. The Kahles is an awesome scope. I highly recommend. Mine has the SM1 reticle. I also have Aadland scope caps which were about $100.
