Yep. I'm not crazy about the reticle @ 8x, but they are damn fine optics. Have one on my used-to-be Holland/wanna-be URGI.

Thanks my friend. The bottom one is a 16" with inter gas (between mid and rifle), CLE made this from a Douglas blank. I wanted something with an exposed gas block look like the Mod1 but at 16".

Do both? Would make for an awesome look when worn in!

ETA - Rattle can is easier to reverse if you get buyers remorse. That thing is looking sick btw!

I'm torn. On one hand, this was bought to do an M110 clone so it needs to be coated. On the other, I don't care for FDE that light. I prefer Field Drab shades of FDE, but that's not clone. If I had another EMC, then I'd just do one of each but old 25's have been going for insane prices.

I used to have a picture of this SR25 that was supposedly an Air Force dude.

It was an EMC with 3.5-15 NXS and an old Surefire FA762K. It was rattle canned and looks so damn cool.

You could do a k1 and spray bomb it. You could always do a base color similar to kac taupe and accents with whatever colors you like.

Ya or just Cerakote it then rattle can on top of it haha.

Since we are on that subject and it's GWOT

Cerakote color is H265 but you'd never know it.

That’s what I was originally thinking but once you coat it it’s a lot harder to reverse than rattle canning it. I think paint on top of cerakote looks good.

So I'm thinking of backordering this, in 16" and in rifle gas. Crazy or no?

Criterion Hybrid CL

I might settle on the Larue SAT and have a shop mill in some mlok so I can use some Magpul panels and a Zerobravo RHS. This way I can get the old school look and still be up to date with how I like my rifles.

Have thought about it, but spending $4-500 on coating (and dealing with the stress of shipping a priceless (to me) firearm) then covering it with a bucks worth of paint seems a bit ridiculous (yes, I understand 87% of cloning is ridiculous ).

This is what I'm going for since this one doesn't use the 110 gas block. Even though this shade of FDE isn't my first choice, it still looks great. Even then, my EMC doesn't have the ambi lower so it's still not going to be 100%.

Honestly, I dig what you got going on right now. I went a little nuts with mine and I went so far down the rabbit hole it would’ve been cheaper to just buy one of the mk11’s that was sold commercially back in the day. I went and treated it like an AR clone not realizing wtf I was getting myself into. So I get the apprehension and say it’s definitely warranted. But, I’ll counter that by saying when you get it done it’s worth it all! So basically I’m no help...

I just need to nut up and spray bomb it. Once the wear sets in I'm sure I'll be happy I went that way.

Thanks again - barrel measures 12.5” from closed bolt face to muzzle.  It’s not quite flush fit but pretty close in to the lug.  As mentioned, I may yet shave the lug as it serves no purpose at this length.
