Clowning around, but this thing is neat as heck with the Holland lower and the issued Gen I Mod 0 glass.

This gave me a cool idea.

Does anyone know of any barrel manufacturers who make carbine gas barrels with ops profiles?  I know worst case I could get a custom M4 collar made.

I'm guessing no, but now I have a cool idea for a set up since I have an extra collar and brake lying around.

Just cut/pinned/welded by John at Retro Arms. Perfect work!

Took the glass off the MK12.  I’m diggin’ the weight and maneuverability of the 14.5

RM45L came in! Afg2 coming today. All I need to finish this off is a peq. And my buffer tube and lock ring.

Just finished this upper and it has immediately become my favorite. I put the Razor on there for shits and giggles but I like it way more than I thought. An NX8 in a 1.7 badger mount and an offset RMR would probably be better to cut the weight down a bit.

Zeroed the glass then took it out to 630yds. White Oak 16” mid-length cut to 14.5 -  630 yds/5.2 mils with Black Hills 77’s.  John’s work at Retro Arms not only looks good, it shoots!

Fwiw, a 12.5" BA 1/7 will stabilize a 75gr otm pill to 800yds, so u def have room left to go :)

Good shootin! Recce's are fun.

How are you liking the Acog/RMR combo on that setup? I have an ecos coming for the IUR upper this week.

I like it a lot.

It's fun screwing around blasting steel out around 300yds with the acog and transitioning to the rmr to blast steel at 100yds.

Edit - there's also those instances where I forget to tape the acog and the reticle is bleeding so hard that it's useless, so I switch to the rmr.

I’m contemplating running it or getting a Razor 1-6....I’m very undecided at this point

I love love love the razor but there's something special about acogs.  Massive fov, great reticle, and stupid light and small.

I had multiple razors and dumped them for the ecos and nx8

This is where I’m at right now, I have the same thoughts on the acog, but since it’s a 15.7 I feel like I could benefit more from having the extra 2x on the top end. Plus I’ve never been a fan of pop ups for piggybacked optics, I’m in the rotate 45 degree club.

Everyone is probably familiar with this picture, but has anyone ever given any thought as to WTF scope is on this?
Looks like a 1" tube and Leupold objective, but it's hella long.
Edit - pretty sure it's just a 1.5-5 and I'm smoking crack.

Home brew.  Something cobbled together with some loose webbing and a short TAS-1 connecting piece.  Once I get the bartacker running again (restoration company dropped it)  I'll do something a bit more serious.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the great photos and inspiration to cut this down to 14.5”. Took it out to 630yds earlier in the week and out to 900yds today.
Wind at 900 (10.6 mils) was tricky but 800 (8.5 mils) was easy money all day with Black Hills 77’s.
