Jesus fuck, whatever old A1 grips are made of is nasty shit. Nothing but smoke and dust pouring off of them while cutting/drilling them. I'm almost positive they're all bakelite, but fuck me, it had to be 50%+ glass fiber in it. Smelled like asshole and I even threw on a mask. Fucking burned up one of my little end mill bits I use to carve out the ass.
If I die, ya'll mother fuckers split my shit between cmc, 5pt56, dobs, and eyekahn. |

Anyone have photos of an 11.5 barrel with a KAC FF RAS Medium? I figured this is the best place to ask. Trying to decide what rail I want for an 11.5 Rem SOCOM barrel build. Bonus points if anyone has an MK18 RIS II rail with 11.5 photos

Does anyone know the story behind these Lone Star Ordnance grips? Not much information out there on how or why they got used. I gotta be honest, they aren't the most comfortable things.

 All I heard on the history is that the thicker profile was more comfortable for some people than the thinner A1/A2 grips, so that is how they found themselves in service. Could be completely wrong. |

LSO grip to me is one of the most comfortable out there.
But then again A1's and ergos are my favorite. Anything "new" I try I hate. |

I'm sure it will have a better feel when I get it mounted. I drilled the detent spring hole this morning for one. To me, Ergo made the perfect sized and textured grip.

I ran an ACOG in the service but was always jelly of my buddy's EoTech so I cloned his rifle. I did run an ACOG on this for quite a while but ended up selling it as I have other rifles if I need distance. It does need a Colt trigger, I took my Geissele out of it for one of my Geissele SBRs. This is a fun gun to take to some classes with my M9 and re-live my glory days
 and it mostly lives mounted to the wall of my man cave.

Getting closer. A few more parts incoming and a couple more I still need to get. Socom barrel and UCWRG upper is the tightest fit I've ever seen. Had to freeze the barrel, heat the upper, and still had to use a hammer and block of wood to get them to play nice.

hey guys, BA has m4 14.5" barrels, cmv 1/8? i forget...in stock, 10% off, free ship for $139 :). i grabbed one so i have an accurate setup. ill P&W and it will go on my new M4 PSA lower. ive thrown on period correct stuff, so it will be my "fun issued +joe parts" build.

In a recent turn of events, I guess the Socom is getting an A.R.M.S. #45M!
and I guess there is no reason to wait for JT to chop the Armalite. Thinking it's going on my Aero M5E1. Just need to sell the upper and handguard and snag a threaded upper. Not exactly GWOT, but would look cool as fuck to have a Mod H inspired .308.Turns out for the best, but I sure was salty when @5pt56 beat me to a #59M
