They have some that are already dicked up for relatively cheap. Some are missing the trapdoor also. |

I am thinking about grabbing one of those $10 janky ones for the gangster grip. It's going to get cut up anyway.

Tempted to do a US What If twist of some kind, originally considered taking an LMT MRP and milling the rails to an IUR like pattern, but I don't like how proprietary LMT's stuff is when it comes to barrels. If I could find an old Mega or Vltor monolithic to mill that might work too. Something that mimics the feel, and that I can throw a compact Ops Inc can on if I can get my hands on one anytime in the next few years. Other thought was getting another DD Mk18 RIS II and goofing with that but that could rustle some jimmies... |

Slightly off topic: but is anyone running 16650 batteries in their lights versus 2 CR123? If so, pros and cons? I bought a massive box of 123 a few years ago and it's running low. Trying to decide to do the same or go 16650.

Originally Posted By SDMF_Rebel: If it's usb rechargeable, fuck that. View Quote Agreed. The only option I'm considering is "standard" rechargable. Nothing is really wrong with 123s, just want to weigh the options. Nothing else I have runs off of either so cross compatibility isn't an issue. I might just snag a couple to see if there is any perceivable difference. Just seems logical that higher capacity, less individual units, makes more sense. |

I gotta find a new barber. This dude is talking to the guy ahead of me about his (the patron's) new Springfield Saint and they're both creaming their panties. I've never seen boomer embodied in such a concentrated way.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting on Friday to get my gangster grip |

It was because of the Saint platform none the less. I told him, "Now that you have an AR, check out arfcom." He's built iirc 2-4 PSA and parts kits ar's since. The Saint/any entry level AR can be a nice segue in to getting in to the more "custom/niche" ar market if approached correctly. |

View Quote Yeah I'm not "shitting on the poors" (hell, in the grand scheme of what I see on here, I am a poor! ) it was just their "just as good" attitude that got me. The guy was dumping on higher end manufacturers that he considered. Rollmark isn't always indicative of quality or reliability. However, knocking something purely based on the fact that you can get "just as good" for cheaper, is always something I have to really mentally break down before agreeing/disagreeing.) |

View Quote I agree with that. People may not need the added things that a KAC or Hodge gun bring to the table for their specific needs, but to say that the saint is just as good is ridiculous. Then again we are the crowd that is fired up about tech from 20 years ago |

Brother,
You get the same offer as everyone else. I will gladly pay return shipping and ream that baby out to take a 6p. I dicked up when I assumed the 6p was the same OD as the 660. Glad you like it Edit - as for wiring; it's two conductor or single conductor with a braid (coaxial/shielded). I've never dissected a clicky tailcap though so I'm not sure what you'd run into - but I imagine there's two contacts that come together for your momentary on, you'd solder to those points. However, I don't know what a full press constant on would do. Edit 2x - the buttons I provided are single pole double throw, so make sure to check continuity with the button pressed - i.e. one pin is your "source" one pin is your switch and another pin is your switch. If you use the 2 switch pins ain't nothing happening lol. |
