You weren't lying about tac. I think this barrel just really loves them hot. Absolutely no pressure signs. Edit - the fliers were 100% me. Swear to fucking god the trigger kept losing the second stage. Edit 2x - the bottom 24.0 group I dialed some elevation and put in work. Attached File Attached File |

Snagged a MK16 13.5” for $160 just no barrel nut. Never thought I’d pick one up but I may sell my 13.5 URX if I like it enough. Also scored a Wilson combat folding gas block. Thinking about either in a MRE or looking for a different carbine cutout

I used to do it with Geissele rails all the time. |

Took the MRE and others out today for the first time in a while. I just had surgery on both my wrists and it’s the first time I could finally hold a gun again. Tried my best with some groups.
16” 1:7 Bushmaster in the MRE Outback 69gr: 1.1 moa Hornady 75gr: 1.3 moa PPU M193: 1.45 moa PPU M855: 3.8 moa The surprise of the day is the PPU ammo. The M193 was surprisingly accurate while the M855 was garbage. Could just be my shooting with barely being able to hold the rifle even prone on the bipod. Attached File |

Guess I'm back in Club SIR. You fuckers must like me having too many irons in the fire
I'm never going to get a NF. I'm just going to have to come to terms with it. My for shit pile of optics is what I got. I think the Vari-X 3-9 will sit nicely on a #59M, though. I'll probably build up the NSW and get a P4Xi for the MRE and use the Vari-X 2.5-8 on it. But then the #38 S-EX will be homeless. It never fucking ends. I'm about to just tear everything down and build shit for specific uses like a periodic vending machine. |

It'll be NSW who hit rock bottom. |

Got most of the parts for the rifle length NSW, and the spikes tapered gas block is just enough exposed with the larue 13.2”. Once I get the barrel, it’s losing all the tan parts, the lower is going back to its other upper and this one will get its own lower and paint job. Everything’s just hand tight, but it balances real well. Just need to get the barrel spun up and to form 1 the suppressor.

Anyone have any suggestions on a solid 2.5-10 or 3-15 or something in that range optic for a .308 DMR build?
I’m currently trying to decide on getting another 2.5-10x32 Gen 1 PST, Trijicon Credo 2-10, or a Meopta 2.5-15x44. I need some advice or more options in the sub $1000 range. |

View Quote Modern SPR collar is pretty easily sourced, and requires no extra work for a properly contoured barrel. AEM5-M4 collars need to be made to spec, and AEM2/4 (even Spike's) collars aren't terribly hard to find, you'll just need the step contoured a little further back to mount an AEM5 (IIRC 0.5" but don't quote me on it). This is why this cowboy shit is resourceful. Just have to figure out the right way to use the wrong parts |

The AEM5 is worth the squeeze. One of my favorites I own. I have a AEM5-30 pending that I’m looking to use on a 6.5C gasser or maybe even a bolt gun down the road. I’ve often thought of how sweet the AEM5 would be on a bolt 5.56.
