I posted this pic way back on pg 1 in 2011 but the link are gone. My first ever AR all Colt build way back in 2005, stripped Colt Match Target HBAR lower receiver, all Colt internals, un-issued (new in early 2005) USGI M-16A2 Colt upper half, M-16 auto BCG and new take off Colt M-16A2 buttstock group. 
1993 Colt model R6830 Sporter Lightweight 7.62X39 cal. carbine, not lightweight at all but HBAR heavy contour barrel under the handguards. I converted the pivot pin from the screw type to the captive takedown pin made by Colt. |

Soon. Just waiting on the BCG/CH and a buffer tube for the lower. I am going to make an early 2000s 727 with a Trijicon reflex and a Surefire foreend.

Updated this rifle with an original (1980s) Colt (marked) A2 grip. Way more weathered than the other one (original as well from 1980s production, but new).
I like the classics when they show a little test of time. Pictured with some American Classics.

Hey, side question.... I got rid of a 2 stage super light trigger out of my M4gery and went back to normal GI single stage. I notice the pins starting to walk when I shot it last time. It irritated me. Where did you get your pin thingy and do you think it's worth it? Are they expensive? I've seen people with them over the years and never thought they were necessary because I never had any pins walk before...... |

The gun didn't need them but they should help prevent the trigger pin holes from wearing and on a transferable lower I think they are cheap insurance. Yea that 727 gun has the factory staked 2 position buffer tube. It kinda sucks but I don't want to break the factory staking to replace it. |

| Which brand camera are you using there? I got a Canon rebel when my step Dad passed away. The best lense I have is a 60mm macro. Seems to have the best quality to it. But I have a large zoom and the crappy one they give you with the camera. Like a 20-70. |

I need to learn how to use a finishing program. Are any of them free? Yeah I think my cheapy is an 18-55. It definitely doesn't look as good as the 60mm.... But I do sometimes use it because you do have to get further away with the 60mm....... And you can't always get everything in.... 7D, that's no joking around there! |

Your handguards are FAT.
I always wondered if them bushings would rotate. I mean, what's from stopping them from doing that? I guess glue. 
I put my A2 stock back on. I'm feeling the urge to make all my guns completely stock...... I do prefer the length of an A1 though.

Super worn out - but that's how I love that look (and you know it). Re: handguard, do you think she's a fattie? Came off of a Colt upper - as new, all original. Could it be the lens distortion or do you really think it's a fattie? Where would I find 100% original (to the era that is) hand guards? Me wants. |
