IDK, I just assembled it tonight, test fire tomorrow.
However, I recently installed a bottom set screw gas block on a rifle, shot about 250 rounds, and decided to switch it out. I had blue locktited the two set screws, which came off with some leverage, but the gas spray on top and the blue locktite on the bottom that seeped in between the gas block and barrel REALLY glued it on. I had to hammer it off with a wood block and a mallet, HARD. Once I function test the build, i will blue locktite the screws and I'm certain it will stay on. |

733 / HEAT clone underway.
C7 upper, 11.5 barrel, and skinny handguards ordered. Where is the best place to get a cheap CAR stock? Just want one for pic purposes - will use a B5 bravo for range time. Does anyone know where to get an A1 or A2 grip with storage compartment ? I like being able to keep a folded up form1 in there. |

I bought a Colt 6720 today. I'm thinking about swapping on a C7 upper and getting the barrel chopped for the HEATNESS.

Love the heat guns. Used to clean up at a shop that had purchased one of them used in the movie years ago. Think it was around 99 or 2000.

Ordered me a C7/A1 upper this morning from Windham. $150 shipped for a complete (FA, dust cover, and rear sight) upper.
I want to do a retro looking rifle with modern little bits hybrid (sacrilege!). 11.5" barrel with Dead Air FH for can. A1 grip, KAC ambi safety, KAC trigger guard, BAD pin set, Gasbuster charging handle, and a Geissele SSA. Stock will be CAR and skinny CAR handguards. I just have to use some of these small items for comfort and aesthetics. |

I may sell it or hold onto it for a rainy day project as I'm sure I can use a LW 16" for something The cost and time of dis-assembly, shipping, barrel cutting etc would probably be just as expensive as buying a barrel assembly. I've picked up a Ballistic Advantage 11.5 with pinned FSB and delta ring assembly for about $200. So for an WW A1 upper and BA barrel 11.5 barrel with FSB you are looking at $350 total. Not bad for those seeking the HEAT. Sorry for talk and no pics. Hope to have something up in the next week or so! |
