Here's my rifle's current configuration: The upper, lower, carry handle, stock body, and DD forend are going to get one color while the extension tube and MIAD are going to get the second. Should I paint the upper, lower, etc. in the color of the Carry Handle (DC Tiger Stripe Brown) and the extension and grip a darker shade or paint the upper lower, etc. in the Woodland Tan that is on the bottom portion of the stock body and paint the extension and Grip the Tiger Stripe Brown? The barrel will stay sandblasted SS with the parkerized A2. |

Bottom of page 2 of THIS THREAD is where you can find pictures of it painted and as a complete rifle. That camo pattern is just something I did freehand. The lower has been gone over with steel wool as you can see along the raised portions and edges. I thought that the last application of Duracoat might have been mixed with too little hardener but I was wrong! I wanted to redo it anyway. I was still able to get down to the orignal DC Tiger Stripe Brown that you see here:  This afternoon I sandblasted the upper, lower, stock and DD down to the black anodization again. ETA: thanks for the compliment. Yes it is DC and the colors are a base of Tiger Stripe Brown with Woodland Green patches/stripes and stripes of Woodland Tan over all of that. The Woodland Tan is very very light compared to the TS Brown. I bought a kit with those three colors, Matte Black and hardener for about $25 from Brownell's. I think I'm going to buy another kit right now... |

Here is a crappy pic of my first middy Upper was built by JTAC, damn good people to deal with CMT upper W/M4 feedramps Kreiger 16" Recon profile KG coated flat black with fitted bolt DD 12.0FSPM Vortex flashider PRI flip up front site ARMS 40L (will be changed soon to a Troy, I think) PRI gas buster charging handle M16 Carrier Bushy lower w/cleaned up 2 stage KNS anti walk pins Magpul MIAD grip kit Tango down VFG and rail covers VLTOR Clubfoot w/H buffer Now its wearing a TA31A in a Larue throw lever (thanks Hokie) and also has a Eotech 511 in a LT throw lever as well. Damn thing shoots like a dream too

Well I started this build a while back in cyote brown and now its finished! I just recived the upper today I like it! Lower consists of Superior arms lower with an Armalite LPK Cav Arms coyote brown 6 pos stock,MIAD grip, IDF Sling, Cav arms upper has the following from dsg arms.(It is gone from their website? Did I get the last?) 16 inch government profile barrel (light under handguards, heavy out front) Bayo lug Threaded barrel C6 fat profile,mid-length handguards in coyote brown Complete with bolt, carrier and charging handle Chrome Lined A2 Flashider 4150 Steel w/vanadium barrel Forged front sight base 1:9 twist 5.56 NATO chamber A3 upper (flat top) I love it I can't wait to shoot it!!!
