Anyone know the OD of the SMOS / Noveske bbl nuts? Been trying to google-fu it, but apparently I need to spend more time in the dojo training because I can't find the answer.

indeed. I added the info about who sells the stichclimber bbl nuts to the PWD in the comments field. Also added their other models. Previously only their ridiculously light KMR bbl nut was in there. Now all 3 models have been included.

So new frontier has redesigned their polymer accu-trigger. The material now appears to be an engineering grade thermoplastic. The trigger pull is crisper as a result.

oh great, just after I buy a couple of LPKs they upgrade them!

Yeah, 3 of them total. Bought an extra as a spare just in case of breakage. Can you post a pic of the new improved ones?

So do you guys see anything in the above two post? Pics or links or?

You need the direct link to your pics, not the page they're on. If it doesn't end in .jpg, .png, .gif, etc. it's not going to show up.

Closed shoulder mlok rifle length with pad
|

I didn't think anyone would get the pad. The open provides some flex to soften the recoil. You don't need the closed or the pad with 556.
Still you got a lot of nice parts, we all want to see it finished. |

my SPR build 'with a little light weight thrown in' is almost done. Just need to replace my boat-anchor Vortex FH for a slim Faxon one and to get an Al carrier for my LW SBR so I can use the Faxon Gunner LW Steel carrier in the SPR and it should be right about 8 lbs 3 oz, with optic and bipod ready (no bipod attached, but there's a pic rail for it). Considering it has a heavy as hell grip (Larue apeg), ACS-L stock, and a 18" HB, that ain't bad! I'll post pics when it's done. I think it's a cool build where I use some LW parts/ideas to try to offset some compromise/heavy parts. GB, pins, mounting hardware etc. are mostly Ti. Even my sight screw/nut and scope ring bolts are Ti!

Lightweight rifle parts are like formula 1 technology... it eventually filters down to everyday rifles.

Someone remind me of the details here: was it BDRC or Shooting Innovations that never ships/shipped product? I'm ready to get that Al carrier for my SBR...

I'll have to look at my newest ones to see if they are old vs new style. I didn't get them THAT long ago, so maybe they are the new ones? I dunno, but I'm sure the one in my SBR is the old school design...I've had it a couple years now.

This came from shooting innovations today. I ordered it on Monday. I got the same results on two different scales.

Just saw a TFB article about Rise Armament releasing a lw steel BCG. Their website claims the weight is 8.9 oz
Here is the link to their website. Carrier is 8620 steel, bolt is 9310 both MPI tested. Not the lightest, but on par with RTB, AIM and Rubber city for the same material. |
|
|
Added! Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I hadn't seen it before.

I know I’ll take heat for this but my .556 LW gun beats my shoulder to death. I’m running a JP alum BCG, Taccom buffer that’s been further lightened and my gas is adjusted to just allow it to cycle. Dang tiny BAD aluminum stock obviously doesn’t help matters. Something will have to change. |

Has anyone had decent accuracy results from a build using the Fostech magnesium upper?
EDIT: problem wasn't the upper |

I was wondering if the upper getting hot could cause it to string shots. While waiting on the mag upper, I temporarily threw the rifle together with an aero forged upper, and it shot much better than it does now. I will switch back to it if I have to, but I bedded the barrel to the mag upper with green loctite, and it won't come loose without taking a torch to it. |

Anyone know where to find a Faxon 16" pencil barrel in stock? Found a new one in the EE but need one more.

What profile is the barrel? View Quote I re-torqued the barrel nut one "gas tube notch" looser (it was on pretty dang tight), and I remounted the gas block while paying particular attention to the fitment of the gas tube into the bolt carrier gas key. Hopefully, one of those adjustments will pay off. |
