I did not want to spread FUD so I took off the spacer this morning and tried. And yes, you can get absolute co witness with the spacer removed. tried to get a picture, but I lack skills...

Here is a side view with spacer removed

And to answer kbi's question about the clean CAR N1 stocks...pure dumb luck!

Just imagine looking through a drinking straw with a green triangle in the middle.

I kid, I kid, though I do dislike the small FOV on the TA33 compared to the TA31 and TA11 models.

Got an Aimpoint PRO today for my 14.5" M4. Only thing I might still do to this rifle is swap out the KAC rail for a Centurion or DD 12" FSP rail.

Didn't think of that. In that case I would go Centurion then. I like the way this rifle feels now, and I think it turned out well. That BE Meyers flash hider works wonders. I took it out with a friend and his battlecomp equipped rifle at night, and man what a difference it makes. While the device is a tad long, the OAL of this versus my 16" M4 barrel was about .6" shorter.

I'd also leave it alone. The Meyers looks great as well.

But ultimately, just wanted to comment that that is an extremely beautiful rifle. Well done. Very practical. Very tasteful.

Leave it as is.  I was in the same thought process as you, having a 14.5 with an already permanently attached flash hider (only mine being a YHM phantom, which I don't care for anymore).  It would cost way too much money for a simple handguard switch for it to be justifiable.  My M4 looks almost identical except for I have a sopmod stock and Larue mount instead.
Nice looking rifle!

Why is it not??  If you look really closely you'll see what appears to be the M4 cut in the barrel profile, the carpet and lighting makes it look gov profile but I do believe she's a M4\   I may be wrong though as I know jack shit about Sigs....

the barrel profile on this Sig M400E is a bit different.  you can see the "m4 notch" extends all the way back to just in front of the fsb, wouldnt call it an M4 myself.

Built up an MForgery on a set of RGuns sand receivers,  they are a little more gold colored in person than my iPhone pics show.

Used a DD 14.5 barrel with perma-Vortex mount, Noveske BCG, Troy MRF free float handguards and ambi bolt-release, Palmetto lpk, IDF sling with Magpul mount.  Super happy with the weight & balance of this gun!

This is about as close as I could get to my issued M4 as a civilian, and within budget--plus some ergonomic improvements, and an optic I like a little more than a standard issue Aimpoint

A better IR illuminator may be in the future later.
