I like the old double heat shield on the M4's.  It's getting to be retro.

Yeah. I'll admit I do like the look and feel of the Dbl shield HG's; but, I'll probably end up slapping that civi PEQ 15 on it that TNVC sells and a Surefire M591 or M592v. That will all be in the far future though. I haven't even got a TA01NSN or Aimpoint.

I get that, trust me.  It's just that for $2500 you are in KAC and LaRue money, and they have not been dragged through the entire Magpul catalog.  That must be one hell of a barrel for them not to even step beyond adding plastic BUIS.  Welcome, and let us know how she shoots.

That thing is $2500?! Is there something special about it?

ETA:  I just fell out of my chair.  With custom cerakote from Intacto Arms, that thing costs $2,898, complete with 6061 receivers and all.

ETA2:  You should find the standard AR picture thread or Midlength picture thread.  That thing isn't an M4.

You should start a thread on your rifle.  They are relatively unknown.  Do they make their own barrels, then?  Have to start with somebody's blank I am assuming

It's a Sightmark of some flavor:

http://www.amazon.com/Sightmark-Ultra-Shot-Reflex-Sight/dp/B001LZS6NG

It's always interesting to see a $2,800 rifle ($300 custom Cerakoting) with a $75 optic on it.

It's his money, so he can do whatever he wants with it - but it seems kind of mis-matched - it's like a super model wearing grocery store vending-machine costume-jewelry.

I'm wondering if this is a display gun. The poster has a Jan 15 join date with one post and both he and the company are in Idaho.

I know that optic is not great but it's fun to shoot with it, next up is an aimpoint micro t. I had the sightmark kicking around from airsoft and I stick it on my 12 gauge slug gun once in a while too. As for me being in Idaho, I do know the shop owner and what not but I can assure you I paid full retail which has actually gone to $2799 for the base fbr.

Saw that later on, I like the Elcan better than the EOTech, but the paint was cooler before. I'd love to have an Elcan for my SBR, but 2 grand is a lot of money for a 1-4x, even a fancy one.

I had the sightmark kicking around from airsoft and I stick it on my 12 gauge slug gun once in a while too. As for me being in Idaho, I do know the shop owner and what not but I can assure you I paid full retail which has actually gone to $2799 for the base fbr.

Poster busted as a shill. Peddle that shit at SHOT, or pony up and be an industry partner.

This M4 isn't an exact clone due to the fact that it has parts from my Iraq days as a PSC/PMC.
The Aimpoint CompM2 and MI Rail is from my buddies M4 and the DD BUIS is from mine.
The Magpul stuff and the B5 was added recently just for the fact that I love FDE.

Del Ton chrome lined kit from around 2008 with Spikes lower. Vortex Sparc II and a Troy Drop in rail. The rear BUIS is a troy and the front is a clamp on YHM flip up.

This is one of my best shooters. Sorry for the crppy picture.
