Guess I'm still not allowed to post pics in a thread yet.... here's a link:

I don't like it at all. It's better as an absolute than it is a lower third sight. And the dot disappears intermittently as a round goes off. All-in-all I like the setup. I prefer not to have a handful of rails, so this is a good compromise. There's a Surefire 6P for the forward rail not pictured. And if you want to comment about the trigger lock, go ahead. Or just send me $700 for a gun safe. I have a teenager in the house. |

At least you're being safety-conscious....I'd put a fiver down that a very solid chunk of the membership here isn't. |

The cheek weld isn't nearly as horrible as I expected it to be. I'm sure it would be different with a magnified optic but my set up turned out quite nicely.

Another option would be Windham Weaponry for a factory pinned barrel if you're into assembling the upper yourself. I have one of their 14.5" factory pinned M4 barrels and it's really nice. WW factory pinned barrel |
