If you decide you need a different one, I took a brand new aimpoint pro and set it up like the m68. The 2 moa works better than 4moa. It was mounted for a week but never left house or even zeroed.

Seems to, ran through all the brightness settings fine. Came with the bikini cover but not the little lanyard that holds the three caps together.

That was my original plan. Ordered the caps and lanyard then a week later Thoroughbred restocked.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Air Force is upgrading their M4's with the Sig optics.

That is a weird set up. I’m not sure they are Block 1s or 1.5s. They look like your basic M4 MWS with an LPVO, KAC RAS, no VFG, older insight lights with a PEQ-15, the one guy has an SF scout with a clicky tail cap but on the right side. Blue force Gear Vickers slings with the standard side sling mount. These dudes have to be security forces.

Well they arnt in SOCOM so they won't be using block 1s, nor any sopmod components, and 1.5s are not an actual designation (I will die on this hill).

You are correct in your assessment in that they are AF security forces.

Anyone have a spare colt semi ambi safety? I picked up a couple of the schmid and much prefer the non hotdog of the colt and the reversability of them.

May not be correct term but you knew what I was referring to. This popped into my head for some reason.

It is still a weird set up. For what they do I’m not sure the LPVO is the right choice. It is almost as if they got the cool guy toys but are still using their older rifles. It’s like racing tires on a tractor.

TBF there was only two photos that you direct quoted so you really could've called them whatever you wanted.

This setup is pretty standard now a days as the Big army has adopted their own version of the sig tango to replace the ACOG. The Air Force simply piggy backed off of it. The insight lights arnt SU-233 and they have standard PEQ-15s.

One of the few times where not painting is preferred.

A fun transitional clone, this is my take on a 75th Ranger Regiment M4A1, Iraq, 2006. Upper is all Colt, 2004 dated SOCOM barrel. For being almost 20 years old, it's a nice little setup.

Ah, I’ve been chasing a unicorn apparently.

I understand the Cadex Defense tri-mount isn’t clone correct, but that’s going for $200+ new online.

I have 2 Remington contract SOCOM uppers I'm looking to get out their plastics HG's and into some RAS's for a correct 1.5 build. Is the secondary market the only place to find the RAS now? Has KAC stopped making them altogether? I'm tempted, against my better judgement, to just get a Troy rail. Would that be a suitable stand-in?

Tanodized A.R.M.S. #40L, part of the BIS II contract that got canned in late 2006. This one was part of a unit purchase sometime between 2008 and 2010. Rare piece of SOPMOD history, first and third-hardest step towards an alternate history Block II.
