The free Americans think our Tyranny Devices are devices to assist us

Just giving you a hard time BTW, 01. But it is pretty funny.
But nah when you see a clip like that, a sweet flipper doohickey on a take down pin, or a funky BAD lever looking deal on the opposite side of the mag catch, it means communism is afoot.

LOL!  Yeah, I have seen those rear takedown pin lever 'freedom' openers or whatever, and the mag release blocking tab, just never the mag release to bolt catch interface tab.

Agreed. Its looking like I'm gonna have to call him tho. Per the last few posts in the Mk18 thread I guess he's at least 3 days behind on emails

Now if only I could figure out how to fucking install gas tube roll pins correctly. I swear to God, I can do everything on the AR correctly except the fucking gas tube roll pin. Every time I try to hit the pin to flush on both sides I end up bending a new 1/16" punch to 45 degrees or snapping it entirely, the pin is so marred up I can no longer see where it starts or ends, and I get all kinds of dings in my FSB

Hmm I think the brass round is what I'm missing. That actually makes a lot of sense to use.

I have 1 used roll pin left, no good punches left. I don't even know what I'm gonna use in the mean time until I can get a brass round. Maybe a fucking meat tenderizer. Fuck me

LOL.  I have never had a problem with the gas tube roll pin except when it was not quite aligned.  I am sure you have that covered and it is just tight.  However I have bought several new punches working on FSB pins.  I feel your pain

I definitely need to invest in a set of these as well as some higher quality punches. These Grace punches I'm buying are just too soft. I got my last roll pin in no issues, by just being gentle less man handling, and it was coiled tighter for whatever reason.

Man I can do pretty much everything (except maybe torque a barrel extension to a barrel) for the AR but the GTRP is my damn nemesis. I really like Tig's brass round idea tho, that makes a ton of sense to me

Besides the other good parts mentioned, the brass round is def what I need too. It's usuaully the first few hits tryin to get it out that bends the punch for me. Puttin em back in ain't so bad. But would be easier with the full set of tools.
