They are outstanding stocks, way more comfortable than a waffle, has battery storage tubes and still correct. Shark Arms sell Colt 4 position receiver extensions (buffer tubes) that could be used with the SOPMOD or any other mil-spec sized stock or brace. |

My vote would be the sopmod if you don’t have one already. I love the CAR stock, but the sopmod has such excellent cheek weld and I can shoot it fully collapsed. |

I need one for the option if nothing else. I have a current production waffle stock already, and have a 4-point on the way for a 723 build. SOPMOD will happen. B5 Gen 1 are usually effed up right? |

Ive had 8 contract overruns now, zero fitment issues with Colt REs. |

I've got a couple QRP2 mounts that I'm running now. I removed the spacer plate and added a ring spacer for the QRP. Not clone correct, but looks better IMO. Still....that honking knob.

The diagrams show either the original M mount OR the M2 rev2 mount. There are no pictures of the m2 rev1 Mount, although that’s what it actually came with. I haven’t a clue how aimpoint does their serial numbers but my compm2 is 919xxx |

I just scooped one up off the EE with the riser for like $50 shipped two weeks ago. I'm starting to want to go Wilcox though. Not liking that massive knob.

From a historical perspective, how were the ACOG and aimpoints distributed on a platoon/company for the Iraq War and Afghanistan? Was one sight favored over the other in different theaters? To clarify more asking about regular army and USMC, which I guess isn’t really the subject of this thread.

View Quote Yeah, really not relevant to this thread for SOCOM. Army and Marines would differ. Army issuing more Aimpoint M68 CCO over the ACOG and Marines using very few M68s. Types of units in Army different also. CD |
