That's sucks that it's taking so long. Only so many reputable refinishers with FFLs around.

Don't fret though, it only took me 6 months to get around to milling and finish mine.

Nice rifle. I like the ergo (?) extension but can't begin to figure why your optic is that far up without BUIS.

It had a buis under it and I just took it off cause I wasn't using it, however the sight was zeroed and I didn't feel like moving it.

It is all cool bro; I finally was able to send it to Victor at US Anodizing, and hopefully he finishes it soon

Yup - just a standard issue M4. Not that isn't sweet  (it is), but it doesn't belong in this thread.

Awesome. Being a part of a few other clone threads I didn't want to break protocol if there were strict optics requirements to post here.

They need approved by the admits. Nice rifle! For a similar price to the acoustic, you could have an ml2 (clone correct) or ml3. Ahoy from Indiana!

Looking for feedback on the degree of my clone correctness. Have I hit the mark on this M68 CCO build? Anything I should swap out? Was thinking maybe a PRI Gas Buster CH with the military big latch instead of the OEM CH. Is this GTG?

Here are the specs:

Colt LE6920 factory lower
Colt LE6921 complete 14.5 upper with BCM A2X pinned by Adco
Knights Armament Co. RAS with panel + VFG kit
Colt front side sling mount
Surefire M951 weapon light
Colt Aluminum USGI 30-round magazine
Aimpoint CompM2
Wilcox Comp M mount
MaTech rear sight
Geissele SSA trigger

Did you sell it to him or something?  I'm kind of partial to an M4 with just a Cut Carry handle on it.  I think it would look better without it.  LOL.

A little bit of bad news: in October I was able to send the completed lower to a reputable anodizer with a FFL 07 license to comp.eet the process so I could finish my lower. A few days ago I was E-mailed by the anodizer telling me that during a routine inspection by the ATF, the ATF Auditor pulled mine and other lowers like mine aside for further review and asked the anodizer not to work on them until ATF made a determination. Hopefully the anodizer hears from ATF soon

Looks real good to me.  I guess the only feedback I could offer would be the stock.  It's really just personal preference but a CAR stock would look really nice on it.

Thanks for the input, HD. Was hoping you'd weigh in. Interestingly enough, I did have a mint N-marked CAR stock that I picked up off the EE. But it rattled a lot on that Colt buffer tube, so I decided to stick with the less-rattly standard M4 stock that came on my rifle. I agree though, a CAR stock would sort of complete this. Admittedly, I haven't even shot this gun yet. Been so busy at work and only time to order parts here and there - fitting it in where I can.
