And, the TA01 ECOS is part of the Block II program - the TA31 ECOS is not.

I sold my TA01NSN and will replace it with a TA31RCO and su-231a.

Instead of dropping $1,500+ for a TA01ECOS, why not wait for a used TA01NSN <700 to show up in the equipment exchange, add a Joint, Docter, RMR, MRDS, or Burris Fastfire. For less than $850-900 you've practically have the same thing as an ECOS, but cheaper...
Thoughts? |

Will also be attached a bipod to it. For the Colt, already have a DD RIS II FDE, KAC front taupe sight (and rear 600m), Colt LPK, Colt BCG/charging handle, and a 14.5 colt socom barrel on its way that I plan to send to ADCO for FSB filing. Colt upper as well, came from a Colt SOCOM model I stripped and sold most of. Rainier Arms didn't do that great of a job on my upper, there are a lot of black parts showing through this job. :( |

However I learned I hated the height of that red dot sight. And I realized I was in love with the TA31 too much so I sold the TA01 and will replace with a TA31. |

Trying to plan my Block II build and want to make it as legit as possible. So far I have an LE9620 Colt SOCOM. The FDE RIS II and KAC flip up sight in taupe are on the way. Other than optics and accessories like a flashlight etc., I think I need the DD MK12 gas block, a 14.5 SOCOM barrel and Surefire 4P or KAC NT4 flash hider. Am I missing anything? Also, a few of questions....
- Is the CAR stock good enough for a legit Block II or do I need to get a B5 or LMT? - Is the Matech rear a legit match for the KAC front sight? (in other words, were these together on issued rifles?) - Does it make sense to get the KAC flash hider if I never plan to get a suppressor? the Surefire 4P is really hard to find... - Sling and mount(s)? Thanks!!!! |

View Quote CAR is fine, but CTR, B5 or LMT are more common (now) Matech is legit KAC's being replaced by Surefire, up to you Slings are usually the ones that allow for variance, but I've seen VTAC Mk2's more often lately, on CQD front mounts, KAC or DD QD's being used as well. Rear CQD mount has been seen, usually the sling is attached to rear of stock via slot. |

awesome pics, wayfaerer320. Seems like they are using a "standard" flash hider.

What are the vision requirements for SOF? Can you wear prescription eye glasses? Contacts?

Does anyone have a Leupold Mk 4 2.5-10 on a Block II. I may cross all boundaries and put one on mine. Then it'll give me an excuse to build a Mk. 12 upper.
