No TA01's?

Generally speaking the units issuing these rifles allow the shooter to use whichever optic they've got in the inventory that he prefers. So yeah TA01 is absolutely plausible.

The other thing that happens in theater is that there is (was at least) a lot of $ available for COTS, GWOT, SE, REF, etc. purchases of whatever (optics, lights, thermals, etc.).  The acquiring unit leaves whatever it is behind for incoming units so you could end up with a) nonstandard/issue kit seen IRL/ITW and b) equipment mismatches between (in the case of weapons and optics) what a unit has for weapons and optics they're running.

Looks good! Your bottom setup is a lot like mine, but with an Eotech vs an ACOG. All you need is a little bit more 99051

Nice! I built a block 2 off both the non FSP and the FSP, and if I had to do it all over again, I would pick the non fsp. Easier to work on, a little nose lighter, easier to mount shit in the spot you want it etc. Good choice.

It maybe easier to mount stuff but the look of an FSP gets me every time

Meanwhile, my rifle has kind of stagnated into this setup. I moved my BUIS to the Mk12 and I'm going to hunt for a taupe 99051 and a 600m rear sight for this.

That thing looks killer without BUIS. And since you have the acog piggybacked, you really don't even need em'

I really don't feel the practical need to have BUIS, I just think it looks a little empty... It's a pretty high cost to get the right BUIS just for a look so I'm not very aggressive with my searching, but one night the cloner in me will probably do some drunk BUIS buying eventually...

I only saw two that were sold; did a standard 30-day search for "RIS".  what did I miss?

ETA:  I see a brown non-fsp model.  not a brownell's FSP.

I just looked again, I must have thought the FDE FSP was black. That's the only one I'm seeing.

I swear there was a dude selling one for $200 shipped a day or two ago

I have one of the black FSP RIS II's from that Brownells sold back in September.  I don't want to build a FSP Block 2 but this is the only rail I have and I don't want to spend $400 on non FSP rail.  So while it may not be as correct, I could just mount it to an upper with a low profile gas block right?

The only time I've seen that done was when MILSPEC was changing over rails.barrels

So, incorrect. You'd be better off selling the rail and putting what you get for it towards the rail you want.

Too big to get married? I'm assuming they're so big you just can't get in the front door of the chapel but we can fix that like they do on goats. Just put a rubber band around your nut sack and it'll fall off eventually.

If that doesn't work we can extend the width of the chapel door, and put a skateboard under each nut and roll them puppies right indoors.
