Also, with the 14.5 I'm thinking of having it pinnied/welded with a SureFire SF3P-556 to meet the length/legal requirements.  Does this sound like the way to go or are there better alternatives?

Thx

Yea, Colt really fooked that up IMO.

I would continue looking for a Colt SOCOM 14.5" barrel if you want.  I searched for awhile 10 years ago for a Colt 14.5" Govt Profile for my retirement build.

Why is the AAC 51T used so much for Block II clones? In the very first page, it does not appear as one of the "proper" muzzle devices yet, I've seen it used extensively. Is it because it resembles the surefire?

Thanks and again, sorry!

To a cloner, they don't look anything like an SF.

It's because they are high performance (as in quiet) cans at a reasonable price and there are some agencies using them so while the KAC and the SF are absolutely SOPMOD clone correct, AACs have been seen in the wild.

And, as you stated elsewhere, you're not going to pay $300 for a flash hider.

Bought with state funds for a National Guard ODA, not SOCOM dollars.

I mean is there a ambi safety (block 1/2) available that I can add to a 6920?  Did some reading...  will a KAC ambi meet these requirements?

Thanks.   Was curious as it seems there is slight variation in the brightness of white on lettering.  Is slight variation in this normal?  And it almost looks as if there is a "." In the lot no on the rail.

Also, it appears a hex screw is missing on the backside of the rail where it meets the upper receiver.  Should be one on both left and right.  Could it have just been left off of install?

The slight variation is normal. I don't know exactly why it's like that, but they are. I don't have my m4a1 rail right next to me to check, but my mk18 fsp rail has the same thing you're talking about.

The card doesn't match the rifle, it also says FSP

GL/SSC rail has 16 holes and the 14.5" RIS II has 18.
