I said I would keep the previous configuration as definitive, but that was a filthy lie (and I am still waiting on a BCM A2X flash hider, that I do prefer to the current DD A2X)
ETA: I do want to say what I've done; what I do to these is exclusively for the looks. I am into the looks of these fine, US Military (looking) firearms. So - basically - by pulling back the Elcan (now FDE) I think the rifle looks a lot better; it's a matter of image weight balance, really. Grip is also the more commonly seen ('in the wild') Hogue rubber. It's got something of a classic look I really dig. I am always fighting the looks of the lights, instead. I am more and more tempted to not have a light. Love the look of the PEQ all the way to the end of the rail.  DD M4A1 BLOCK II by SoloDallas, on Flickr |

I think the SOPMOD gives it (again) another type of balance, visually. But you've seen me so far; I think I got it down to a definitive configuration and bam, two days later it's something else. It's part of the fun for me with this hobby. I change parts on guns as my daughter changes barbie's clothes! ;) |

Thanks brother, I have; but I didn't want the long model that used to be seen on the 416; I wanted the small one that can't be found (and not the fixed one, the rotating one). I agree with you, it would be the apex for this kind of look! |
