In before you sober up and realize you posted a pic of yourself on ARFCOM and delete it?

Did you shoot the H3 yet?

H3 ran fine the other day when I was running the upper on my cqbr lower, only about 200 rounds though. Upper was well lubed and brand new. I haven't cleaned, so I'll just run it to 1k with the h3 before cleaning and if it's trouble free I'll leave it.

i only shoot 556, federal, IMI and wolf gold so as long as those run I'm good

I’ve been stalking these threads for awhile finally thought I’d share some of mine. Not 100% yet but it’s a work in progress of cloning the level zero hero.

I’m convinced that the cheapest way to get an RIS II is to buy the stripped upper from Brownells when they’re running a 10% off coupon, then disassemble it and sell the upper and barrel for maybe $250-300. Then you’ll be into a brand new RIS II for $325-375

That is correct......presuming you can sell the leftovers for what you want.

When was the last you saw at $275?  I haven't seen on in EE for a few weeks now.   Wait until Brownell's releases the Geissele URG1s, the 4Prongs will go up another $100-150.

Whoa! If you look at the rear of the scope tube and zoom in you can CLEARLY read the VX-6 lettering. Very surprised to see someone running one of those! Mine never felt very durable, maybe that was just due to the lightweight though. Also perhaps he is just testing the optic?

@Spooled

Nice! Love the teardrop.

And thanks to @5L33P3R I just ordered a new GEN1 SOPMOD in poopy brown to replace my current CAR stock. Will go nice with my newly aquried Surefire 4P. Gonna gain a little weight again, but that's okay.

After braceman engraved my lower and I finished it, I built it out with a Colt LPK, but I used an LMT receiver extension because that's what I always use, so I already had one. I know LMT has been contracted for various things before, but has anyone ever seen an LMT tube in use? I haven't, but many of you here are experts compared to me, so I figured I'd ask.

I've always figured it was close enough, but I think it's bugging me now because I've got the Gen1 poopy SOPMOD on the way and if I need to swap the tube for a Colt, I might as well get one of those headed my way, too.

ETA: Just ordered a Colt tube, nut, and latch plate. I'll swap it over just for the sake of absolute correctness.

I have trouble staying in the eye box with the sopmod, so running a waffle currently. Hell I loved the coyote on the gun, looks great but function over form.

I want to toss a riser under the elcan, I think that would help some with the sopmod.

The lower I was using had h3 and sprinco white.

I now have a colt spring and colt h3 in the dedicated lower but haven't been back out with it, I will report back with results when I make it out.

might be a couple weeks though, my daughter is playing all star softball so we don't have time for shit these days

I know your question wasn't directed at me, but thought I should chime in just for reference. I run an H2 with a Sprinco blue spring and it runs fine and locks back every time, even when its cold out and the gun is exceptionally dirty. I did try an H3 with the Sprinco blue when I first built the gun and was playing around and it ran fine with that, as well. I ended up putting the H2 back in to allow for some kind of margin when shooting in very cold weather. This is with full power 5.56 ammo and a 14.5" Colt SOCOM profile barrel.

She's a beaut!

And I know what you mean about the SOPMOD, though it works well for me when running the Eotech. It's funny because when I'm using my CAR stock (I switch back and forth between CAR/SOPMOD) everyone (non-cloners) always asks me why the hell I like the old CAR stocks. To them they're just plain-jane ugly old stocks. Lol
