What's a gen 2 LMT SOPMOD in FDE typically go for on the secondary market?

I saw one sold for $170.

LMT ones are always going to demand a premium. If it was a Gen 1, it would be around $250.

What would a complete 16 inch DD upper go for that has a RIS II brown rail, and about 1000rds thru it, and non-painted? Will potentially put up in the EE once home from a military school.

Also have a LMT Gen 1 SOPMOD stock that would go with it. Price? I have no idea about these things. Thanks.

as a reference point, Brownells was selling them new for about $610 recently ($675 - 10% promo code).  16" M4A1 with FDE DD RIS II, "SOCOM Block II", minus BCG, CH or FH.

I'm building an M4A1 non-FSP clone and want to run a Vortex Razor Gen II HD 1-6X in a Geissele mount. I'm new to LPVOs and scopes altogether.

This is the mount I was planning to get during Geissele's 20% off sale this weekend. Should I consider any of the other mount variants like extended or hyper-extended? I generally run my LMT SOMOD buttstock in the 1st "click" past full-collapsed on a Colt 4-position mil-spec buffer tube. I'm 6'1" if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

Please elaborate. Is this now considered a SITW mount?

Also, no plans for lasers, so presumably I’d go with the LT104 if I went this route?

Random potato picture.  Vortex Razor, Geissele DDC SOPMOD mount, Geissele DDC USASOC ACH, and tan Surefire tailcap are all en route.

Edit: Colt anodized FDE buffer tube also en route.

The LaRue Mount is more clone correct than the G mount from a historical perspective and even then, I would consider the Badger Recon Mount before I chose the G.  Which is another story altogether.

Are you planning on doing a lot of upright or prone shooting?  This will help you determine the mount height, even if you aren’t planning on using a laser.  I run 1.54 mounts for SPR’s and Recce type builds and 1.93 or taller for guns where I plan on shooting and moving a lot.  The nice part about the 1.93 is that you can still run the gun prone, if needed.

I'd probably want to do about 50/50, which sounds like the 1.93 is the way to go. I really appreciate the clarification--this was really helpful. Thanks!

Damn wonder why they did that? I’d been thinking about getting one for months and pulled the trigger couple weeks ago. Glad I did. Wonder if it’s because DD is now selling the stand alone rail again. You could get the rail cheaper by buying the upper from Brownells  and parting it out. Think DD wants $425 for the rail.

^This!

All honesty though with DD releasing the rails again, I'm almost sure Brownells may be just getting rid of their stock and DD going to take back pushing their RIS II Rails IMHO, which also Signals the Military is moving on to another system, also IMHO if that tells you guys anything, I remember discussing this with another member who knows who he is, not to long ago about this, so take it for what is worth but its just my speculation on the matter.

I think with the detail you put into it even though that lower is engraved and not technically clone correct, I was still get the engraving for the, "AUTO" done, by the way, #FSPMASTERRACE always looks the best with an ELCAN.

Be careful with those pictures in a neighborhood. I have a friend who took a picture like that and less than an hour later had half the police force at his house with guns drawn asking him to come outside.

Thank you much.
I’ll stick with the grip pod. I’ve always liked the feel of the grip and never had an issue with the pod.

There are two barrels being used.  Older Colt 14.5" Govt profile with FSB removed and dimpled.  Other new barrel as posted the FN 14.5" SOCOM which never had a FSB or taper pins drilled into it and dimpled.
