Navy Expeditionary Combat Command units like the SeaBees, EOD, and the Coastal Riverine Force were issued these a few years ago as a replacement for the ACOG.

Don't make me nervous like that! I got this thing from a legit guy so I'm guessing it was an overrun or something.

Anyways, dude, you're awesome. I've been looking for info on these things forever now and you've supplied some amazing info. Good shit!

For those who ordered a EOtech from Botach and got the 10% off coupon, did it work for you guys?

Just went to use it and it doesn't work?

Is that considered a Botach double-tap?

They burned me a few months back with an order of Surefeed mags. Given the amount of time and effort they spend answering calls/emails from customers and lieing to them, I would guess they could be a good vendor if they focused that effort on being honest.

Unfortunatley I had to learn my lesson the hard way since I had zero issues with them with a previous order.

Anyone looking for SureFeed  mags can also add Weapon Outfitters to their list.

I am shocked that anybody is even using Botach again.  That name is in the arfcom hall of fame for a reason...and it ain't good, brother.

Greetings - two questions my friends.

1. Is there a clone correct gas block? I'm removing the FSB from a SOCOM to install under a non-FSB DD rail for one of my builds.

2. For muzzle devices, I see the NT4's available. I'm reading that the Surefire 4P's are unicorns - is that still the case? I'd rather go Surefire. What's the advice on this front?

Thanks all - starting to put together two block 2's and a mk18.

Daniel Defense as the USGI one isn't available.

Surefire 3P if you can't get a 4P is acceptable.

A 10.3" URG is a Block II also.  Mk18 are just type classified as complete guns by the Navy.

Last I heard MARSOC still does.  I haven't worked on their guns since end of 16' however.  We had 3ea NT4 suppressors here in Astan that went back to Crane Dec 17'

as far as GB's go, does the Badger Ordnance MK12 gas block count as correct?  just wondering.

What happens to the ends of the bipod legs if you fire with the legs folded (as in the picture) and without a suppressor?  I’m just curious about the path the gas takes with that muzzle device.

But are they suddenly filthy bipod legs?  Any issue with blast on the knurled sections?

Seriously, after seeing more than a couple of pictures of "why your handguard has to be behind the muzzle device," I wonder if the bipod legs get any soot buildup or blast damage.

Yeah it would get some carbon buildup for sure. But as far as any blast damage, doubt it. They're pretty stout and 5.56 ain't too crazy. Now if it was .50 BMG, I might half expect a lower section of bipod leg to go flying down range.

Apparently it's not an issue, and I can see how, with the legs as far away from the vents on the device.

Greetings,

Ars either of these cans “clone correct”?

SOCOM556-RC2

SOCOM556-SB2

If so, are both black and FDE “correct”?

Curious about the SOCOM mini as well. :)

TIA Hive.

Negative ghost rider. The rc2 and sb2 have a different end cap. Regular RC is only available to the public right now if you have a Geissele golden ticket from the urgi sales, or if you find a dealer with old stock.

Quick question, please
Why is the Block II DD gas block labeled an MK12 gas block?
Not seeing where the RIS II is anywhere on the MK12 parts list.
Thanks
