At least that's the plan for now. The Colt's were cheaper a while back and I missed out at that time so I've been waiting to strike if they came up again at a good price. There might be a better deal down the road but I wasn't going to take the chance. Rip the band-aid off and be done with it, I say. Since I had the credit card out I also threw a Brownell's/Nodak Spud M16A1 lower in the cart for the Mk12 Mod0 that has needed something other than the Spike's placeholder which has been on there for way too long. Four is three, three is two, something something... View Quote URG-I 10.3 is the one I am most excited for. Pics of it keep popping up on the interwebs lately. I'll probably wait until you can get the rails separately though unless there are any proprietary parts specific to the complete uppers. |

I also think that the URG-I 10.3 will be available at some point. Of course the story is that it may not be available to civilians but that just seems like marketing.

Noveske N4 10.5"; but gracious sakes, don't make the same mistake I did ;p.
Doing it over, I'd run either a DD 10.3" with the proper FSB (obviously not the fucktarded proprietary FSB from DD), a Colt 10.3", or BA 10.3" from Andro Corp. As to what I'll replace the Noveske 10.5 with once it's shot out, that really depends. Hopefully I can pick up a factory Colt 10.3" between now and then, or maybe I'll get one chopped. I might end up getting a BA 10.3 just to try it. Considering I'll be needing to replace the DD 10.3 in my CQBR in the not so distant future - and since I shoot a lot of steel case - going with a less expensive barrel might make sense. It'd be nice to have an idea how they perform. Of course, if I'm able to get my hands on some factory Colt 10.3s, then I'll go that route for both come replacement time. |

I suspect this has something to do with the suppressor the original intends to use as some require more room. It's really not that expensive to find a colt barrel on the EE and send it in. I know AU has been a salty subject but I saw they had some SF SB's. How far off are those really from the RC? I read that the baffles were bored out a little more but is that all? Kind of tempting for the price TBH and since I missed out on cheap RC's.
