OK, shot this thing with the new can last night... full auto suppressed blowback into face is unbearable.

I'm using a Colt charging handle right now. Will a PRI Gas Buster charging handle make a big difference in reducing gas to the face? If so, which M84 PRI gas buster latch is most proper for a clone? (Flat latch, Combat Latch, Military Big Latch, ambi, ...)

On the upside, the little TurboK does a great job of making the blast and sound VERY pleasant. I took a few of the shots at an indoor range without earpro to gauge how it might behave in a HD situation. It seemed alot like shooting a slightly muted Ruger 10/22 .22LR outdoors and while not "quiet" and I'm sure not technically hearing safe, I didn't get any ringing at all. Hell, it's way quieter than when shot unsuppressed while wearing hearing pro. It'll be good to go for indoor HD.

Gas buster takes gas from unbearable to basically non existent for me. Most people prefer combat latch (atleast I do), but I believe standard size smooth is most correct.

The minute I see a 1/1.5 with a 4 prong, I'll tear down the backup cqbr upper to build one.

Meh, mine is black by choice. tan polymer furniture is OK to me. Something about tan anodized parts always looked janky to me.

Besides, once someone gets around to growing a pair and painting it - it don’t matter anyways. Although I’m not there yet.

Ok, so I lied; I had other cases I had to finish...

I finally got out there today. Underwhelming to say the least- the place is in the middle of nowhere, literally.

I did have to visit the armory, but no armorers around, just Navy Security Force, and they were not ‘gun guys’ at all. They weren’t even very fond of their beat up M9’s!
Friendly dudes but had no answers for me. I got to see some really cool stuff, though, but nothing that interested me too much.

Sorry guys!

Are the 2” Gearward Ranger bands stretchy enough to work with the SOPMOD stock and around the RIS II rail?

Saw some post saying 3.xx” was the “clone correct” size for SOPMOD stocks.

Can’t tell what that is but if it’s an INOD or something similar he’s probably NUC’ing or calibrating it.
May be a PAS280 or PVS30 or something along those lines.

Scored a new kac rear sight at gun show for 55$ guy left his wife to attend the booth while he walked around, saw this and a colt socom upper and some p&s rail panels, asked the wife how much he was selling the sight for and she said I think  $55 so I said deal, wish I wouldn’t of bought a couple thousand rounds of ammo there beforehand or I coulda got the socom upper too

Guys, super stoked with how this video came out. Jordan Elder, an ASU journalism student was out at the 2nd Amendment Rally Arizona at the capitol and I volunteered to be interviewed. This led to an invitation to provide some follow-up photos and a video clip--which is me firing a factory DDMK18 full auto at the Daniel Defense booth during the Arizona Game & Fish Wildlife Expo 2019. I feel like she did a great job telling an accurate story and not twisting anything that any of us said.

Please check it out.

My guns made cameos--including my CQBR Block II and my defunct MK18 Mod 0 clone.

Buy a 20in. Diameter bicycle tube. Cut them to whatever width you want. A couple bucks will get you as many ranger bands as you want.

I wish I had a legit use for NVG/thermal. I get enough eyerolls from the wife with my clones laying all around the house, I could only imagine the reactions I'd get running around the house with the lights off playing with nods.

Well, I did convince her to take wedding pics with clones, so she already knows and accepts that.
