OK, shot this thing with the new can last night... full auto suppressed blowback into face is unbearable.
I'm using a Colt charging handle right now. Will a PRI Gas Buster charging handle make a big difference in reducing gas to the face? If so, which M84 PRI gas buster latch is most proper for a clone? (Flat latch, Combat Latch, Military Big Latch, ambi, ...) On the upside, the little TurboK does a great job of making the blast and sound VERY pleasant. I took a few of the shots at an indoor range without earpro to gauge how it might behave in a HD situation. It seemed alot like shooting a slightly muted Ruger 10/22 .22LR outdoors and while not "quiet" and I'm sure not technically hearing safe, I didn't get any ringing at all. Hell, it's way quieter than when shot unsuppressed while wearing hearing pro. It'll be good to go for indoor HD. |

Underwhelming to say the least- the place is in the middle of nowhere, literally. I did have to visit the armory, but no armorers around, just Navy Security Force, and they were not ‘gun guys’ at all. They weren’t even very fond of their beat up M9’s! Friendly dudes but had no answers for me. I got to see some really cool stuff, though, but nothing that interested me too much. Sorry guys! |

Guys, super stoked with how this video came out. Jordan Elder, an ASU journalism student was out at the 2nd Amendment Rally Arizona at the capitol and I volunteered to be interviewed. This led to an invitation to provide some follow-up photos and a video clip--which is me firing a factory DDMK18 full auto at the Daniel Defense booth during the Arizona Game & Fish Wildlife Expo 2019. I feel like she did a great job telling an accurate story and not twisting anything that any of us said.
Please check it out. My guns made cameos--including my CQBR Block II and my defunct MK18 Mod 0 clone. Second Amendment supporters | Cronkite News |
