Most people go with the non-Hotdog Colt ambi selector from Arms Unlimited, if you just want a standard selector then that will work.

This?

Yes.

Eff
A $50 selector? Ugh

Let’s talk Colt m4a1 serials
W prefix or CR?
6 follow on numerals or 7? Would 8 be sacrilege?

Since 94’ Colts military M4A1s have started with “W” and six digits. Specifically W300000 block for 95% of SOCOM guns.   Looks to be W and seven digits now.  M4s started at W000001. Lowest SN I’ve come across was W000489.

I have never seen a CR on a military gun. That’s a commercial prefix.

SN 36? Is that super old? Those single tan pressure pads don’t pop up for sale too often. When they do, you have to buy peq just to one. Currently using a black one for my su233

It’s actually a 2023 production year. I bought my remote on eBay. There are plenty more from the seller I purchased from albeit a bit pricey for what they are.

Any type of BF deal on a CQD Dieter sling or a Wilcox Aimpoint mount?
Those two should help push this project forward

I would check with Thoroughbred Armament for the CQD sling. Good folks and he runs sales frequently. Wilcox aimpoint mounts are very hard to find in new condition.

Great video and rad build. Curious though, Garand Thumb refers to that gun as a MK18 Mod 0, but based on page 1, that would be a CQBR Block 1, right?

Same gun, just different nomenclature Crane actually calls them both.  I've got a old Power Point presentation from Crane labeled Mk18, first slide states CQBR.
