Glued in place. If you wanted it more solid, you could put a few stitches in it to attach the foam solidly in place, but as is, it works fine.

Foam doesn't tear?

If you're careful with it, it shouldn't If you were concerned, you could just take some scrap leather and make reinforcements for the places that you have thread going through. I wouldn't even worry about it, to be honest with you. It's not something you're going to toss a rifle in and deploy with, it's a way to hide a gun while you're out and about the town.

Not assembled, not sure about breaking them down.  I removed the rifle and tried to place it in a position that wouldn't interfere with the "cutout" and it won't go......not even close to having enough room.

I know this site abhors Troy, but I really like their fixed front sight. It's too bad LMT doesn't have a version without a tumor growing out of the side.

I figured that is what you meant, but I think tango was wondering if two would fit assembled.   On a related note..........I see pictures of 1650 Pelican cases with 6 rifles, two NODs, 3 helmets, bino's, and 4 range finders all thrown in. Do you guys really haul all your gear around tossed into a box like that?

It's 14.5, 16, and 10.3.

What do you think they measure when they make them these lengths? They measure bolt face to end of threads. How do you not get this?

Wrong.

14.5" is really 14.625" and 16" is really 16.22ish (I don't remember off the top of my head) when measured from the bolt face to the muzzle. The second is because of ATF requirements but either way, in both cases they aren't actually the length they are called.
