And rightfully so, I had a 4X DOS Larue mount on my acog (standard issue for USMC) and it was solid as fuck. Lightyears better than the stock TA51 ACOG mount. |

View Quote Yeah I probably will run it lower 1/3. I liked the absolute cowitness of my 552 but I realized I'm more used to lower 1/3 at this point as 90 percent of my optics have been lower 1/3. Plus it's nice to be able to use the dot by itself even with a fixed front sight base. Can't really do that with an absolute cowitness unless you're at the tippy top of the optic window |

There's no torque specs for the four side screws that attach the lower rail to the RIS II, correct?

(btw, lovin' the N1) It's not even that I like the reticle better, it's just that damn sweet friggin' color they're rocking (gels much better with the paint on my CQTR as well). Plus, I guess i need another one if I'm gonna M4a1 Block II my current upper. I was going to strip it down and use it for a M12 Mod H, but I figured it would just be easier to start with a new upper receiver for that (considering I have plenty of extra bolt carriers and charging handles laying around) and just cut this 16 inch barrel down and put the Surefire RC flash hider on that I already have as well, and just make a pseudo M4a1 Block II out of it. I was going to get a new Kreiger for the Mk12 anyway. It seems as though the full length RIS II rails are hard to find in FDE, so, if I'm not doing anything else with it, why not? The problem is basically only the optic. If I could find an SU230, I would just swap out my civi model on my CQTR for the M4 and put the new jawn on the newly designated CQBR. Also, pic thread. Well, I'm not going to have sex with any of the clone police. Some of those guys may be physically attractive, but their politics just kill it for me in the mental attraction department. That said, I'm gonna temporarily swap that T2 for a T1 that's been on my 300 black. I can't have a currently incorrect optic paired with the new 4P. In time, perhaps the T2 will be the most clone correct though... |
