Right, but then you have almost nothing to pull on if it doesn't just fall out when you hit the mag release.

I run a 10-rounder in the chute...because it sits almost flush with the mag well = no snagging getting in/out of things.

I thought that's what the Magpul Flip is for?

Nice! I have a bunch of 10 round mags as well being where I'm at, and the best 10 Rd mag I have is a steel body promag with a green follower, looks really similar to a Colt 20 but holds 10. Still just enough meat to grab the bottom if the mag didn't drop free. The 10 Rd pmags are super short (almost too short) but like you said, does have that lip on the bottom to either grab or "chuck" out with the tip of the next mag going in.

Lol, some mags are pretty snug though. I've never used a 10 rounder, so I don't know exactly how short they are, but I figure it would be fairly hard to get one out if they got stuck. Then again, maybe not.

My 20 round steel mags are pretty snug:

Negative. Good tip though. You think KY jelly would work better? They are new though. Maybe they just need a decade or two of abuse before they wear in?

Having ditched my 553, EXPS-3, and Elcan Specter (should have kept that one), I'm on the lookout for a couple T1's in LT660's

My CQBR is running an Aimpoint Pro and my M4A1 is irons only

But I do have a fancy new Noveske with an RCO on it

I considered that and will probably take some pics and post them on the M4A1 Block II thread. But I really want to keep that optic on the Noveske.

It might just mean that instead of getting two T1's, I'll get a T1 and another RCO. I do like that RCO more than the Elcan (not counting the cool factor of the Elcan)

You can get the Docter in FDE too, it just won't be the gen 2+. They make the gen 3 and C models in a FDE color, if memory serves me.
