Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Just thought I'd give a heads up, I swapped over to a SF M600U, so my bronze WMX200 is now up in the EE.

Swapped from a $600/200 lumen light to a $200/600 lumen light.
Nice. |

The IR illuminator on my ATPIAL-C with the "diffuser" flipped down filled the same role and it meant only having to use one device. With that being the case, figured I should spring for the brighter white light option. Only sad part is I'm slowly moving away from being clone correct, bit by bit. Not even sure my rifle would fit in here anymore. |

I keep toying with the idea of doing a clone correct build but it would mean using parts that I don't really like. I prefer Magpul grips and trigger guards and I like the B5 Bravo better than the SOPMOD. So, I just keep checking out the awesomeness which is this thread, knowing that I'll never truly be one of the cool kids
Seriously though, yall' post some damn fine clones in this thread |

So ordered a fde elcan from optics planet, but it was back ordered. I'm now reading about how terrible they are with back ordering. Do I take the hit and get one in black or wait for the fde to be filled?

Spending a good amount of money so get what you want. As brodband said, they backorder shit like it's their job. I'd cancel and get one from Kerif if you want a new one, or wait on a used one in the EE. |

I bought mines from them, great service. Thanks for that link. It was either that or Amazon for me (they have it in stock apparently). But wasn't too crazy about Amazon. I went ahead and pulled the freaking trigger on that FDE one. I had been drooling all over it for months, enough with this shit. I have a black one (grey, in reality) I now have to sell - initially purchased thinking it was the cool thing to have to be a cool kid, fucked up on the color. Now no more. I was an ACOG/RMR combo guy forever, still own an ecos, but the ELCAN really is the best optic you can get if you want the most flex in your shooting style. It weighs a lot, but worth it in my opinion, or at least on my quest for the "24 hour rifle" |

I don't think the DD fronts were ever actually used. People (myself included) were just buying them because AIM was blowing them out for dirt cheap.

I've been looking for something that tucks the light in as close as possible to the area between the 3 and 6 o'clock rail. My Gear Sector offset mount doesn't tuck the light into that space very well. |
