I know not completely clone-correct, but it sure is fun to shoot.  Ignore the Gas Vent, as that was removed after one range session.

And right after its initial trip tot he paint shop.

(originally a Colt 6920 cut down and some goodies added)

Hey RJeff21, here is a pic of the S&S Precision IFM for my Scout mounted in between 9 and 12 o'clock.  I think you get the picture.  It's super close without touching.  Best mount I've used thus far, but pricey.

Somebody posted a while back about being able to negotiate a lower price on the EXPS from OpticsPlanet. Anyone know who that was or how low they'll go? Looking to buy a new one.

Just live chat with them and push for the lowest price (politely obviously - be friendly!).

I think AZJBT was able to get them down to $550. He said they wouldn't go any lower.

It was me, actually; AZ_SBR (so close ) And yes, $550 was as low as they would go, which is just over 12% off. And they have 12% off coupons all the time.

Another member in the thread here noted they attempted to negotiate the same deal, but it didn't work for them. Not sure what the circumstances were. However, I literally just bought another $550 EXPS3-0.TAN after chatting with "Katherine" at Optics Planet and easily getting the discounted price. I'm not sure if it's because I have an account and prior purchases with them (which, truthfully don't amount to much $$$). If other cloners are attempting to get a discount through OP, I'm happy to help however I can. Maybe we can reference my order # and name and get them to match the same deal for you. IM me if you get to that point with them.

So, does my rifle still work for this thread guys?    I've slowly worked farther away from strict SOPMOD parts, but figured I'd check before going any further.

In other news, I'm really hoping my suppressor gets approved in the next few weeks.  Going on 4 months at the beginning of May.

Not as far as I know, sadly.  I've been looking and that's why I inquired about the S&S Precision mount/body a page ago.  FWIW, the scout clears the lasers on my rifle with the Gear Sector mount, so it doesn't affect functionality.  You still can't get the PEQ next to the Scout on the rail, though.

Yep.  I would imagine it's because there wasn't a civilian model ATPIAL until fairly recently, so there was never really any sizeable market for offset light mounts that worked in conjunction with one.

I did just order one of the S&S IFV mount/bodies, so we'll see if it works any better.

I ordered an EXPS 3 through OP about a week ago and got them down to $565.  I asked for $550 but they wouldn't go for that.  They also gave me a $40 gift certificate, so now I have to find something else I need.

To Evil_Ed, AZ_SBR, sbye, and AggiePhil.  This might be a dumb question but have y'all tried the EE?  I got a brand new EXPS back at the end of December for $500 in the new optics thread.  I know December was a lot closer in time to the Eotech lawsuit than now so maybe that's why I had an easier time finding one at a decent price.  Just a suggestion if you haven't checked already.

Getting my CQBR set up for some night shooting Tuesday and hopefully well see some coyotes while we are out.  Got a SOCOM barrel and will either make it a M4A1 SOPMOD Block I or II or a MK18 Mod 0.  What do you guys think I should do with it?

I just recently sent my MPX off for engraving and I had it back in 10 days.

As a matter of fact, I've sent all of my form 1 sbr's to them and it's never taken more than 2 weeks.

Yeah I figured he wanted one new with the shrink wrap on it, but I figured i would suggest the EE.  I saw one for $525 in the EE optics new budget thread but it had sold so they are there if anyone else is looking for a used one.

Also hoping to snag some MK12 stuff tomorrow... Any of you guys happen to run those as well?

Wound up using the LMT Rear...

ETA - oops accidentally deleted the new pic and posted an old one... Too late tonight to fix it

Also, the Mod 1 with the ACOG no longer has a VFG, first time I've done that for any period and I'm really enjoying it.
