Thank you.

It is the Vodoo Tactical case.  I got it from sportsmansguide here http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=389661.   It does not say it is the vodoo tactical case, but it is.  It is also about $25 cheaper through sportsmansguide then I have seen anywhere else.

Chad

Thanks a lot. I will definitely get one of these.

Glad I could help.

I'm still a frequent visitor,  just not got much to say Yep. the V22 is still going strong (recently picked up a pile of spares from Dan Auth at CCS, that will see the gun outlive me. Probably become a family heirloom.)

The scope is a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x24. I originally bought it for my .223 AR but found a little sloppiness in the turrets that concerned me, so I put it on the V22. I have since cured that (to do with the scopes Zero-lok system, I was too gentle with it). I really should try it back on the .223 as it's a nice little scope, but unfortunately I sold what was on the V22..................

It'll be 200 bucks well spent. Make sure you include "556" in the caliber box.

Hey vtmactech,

Is that chambered in 17 mach 2 or .22lr? I thought I saw a posting from you a while back of a 17 mach 2 rifle. I'm currently waiting on mine from Ballistic Advantage and can't wait. Very nice rig btw.

This one is 22lr.  I have a 1/2 dozen rimfire AR's and others that are in various stages of being built.  Planning on breaking this one down and tossing the receiver set in the junk pile for now, might come back to it later when I have more patience.  Have a nice Mega Monolithic set waiting for a quality barrel (this is one of Adam's/Ballistic Advantage LW stainless barrels).

Any pics of the 17 when it was built (or it's current setup)? I couldn't find the pics from back when. If you get a chance, no biggie.

Very nice!! Thanks for the pic.I'll throw mine up when it gets in. Hey also, by the way, have ever experienced any problems with the upper as far as out of battery discharges or jams in general? I'm going to be running Eley 17m2 out of mine exclusively. What do you run and what were your results? Also what what your accuracy like at 50 and 100 yards? Sorry for all the questions but there aren't a lot of guys out there that have the 17m2 uppers.

Thanks

Spike's ST-22 upper on a Stag lower.  Nothing fancy, just a simple lightweight configuration (5.7 lbs with optic).  Great accuracy and has ran without a hiccup since break-in.  I am using a PA micro red dot.

Adam's barrels (Ballistic Advantage) are second to none.  I got unbelievable accuracy from the upper he built for me.  I tried Hornady, CCI, Remington, and Eley (only 2 manufacturers but 4 brands, and one bullet manufacturer as I understand it.).  Eley was the best and most consistent.  This is a 50 shot group at 100 yards, rock steady rest, just had to trip the 1# trigger, I was testing BDM's 50 round drum for 17HM2 functioning (flawlessly functioned btw.).  I would just scatter paint balls at 100 yards and blow them up.  I have a couple other groups form that day that are slightly larger but only due to a flier or 2, probably my fault.  You may have some issues because of the 17HM2 pressure curve but Adam will ensure all is right.  I had no catastrophic blow outs with the 17HM2 but have had one serious blow out with a 22lr so be careful with any conversion.

This is from a Spike's built complete 22 rifle.  Casing fragment went all the way to the bone.  I am much less casual with my rimfire ARs than I used to be.  Never had any problems with any 5.56 AR either from my time in the Army or since but I pay extra close attention to my conversions/non-standard ARs.  (This is not to imply that I do not pay close attention while engaged in any hunting/shooting activity, simply that in 30 years of hunting/competing/military use, this was the first firearms mishap I've experienced.)

Shit!  That your trigger finger?  How was that possible?  Did the fragment blow through the mag?

Damn, VTmachtech. I've also got a spikes (dedicated 5.5" upper). I've cleared jams in the past exactly how you described in the post. Won't be doing that anymore. Stuff like OOB discharges is always in the back of my mind when shooting it, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I'M LEFT HANDED!! I'm really excited about getting the 17m2 upper in and testing it out but am worried at the same tme

.22 semi auto rifle magazines are exempt, .22 pistol mags are limited to 10 rounds like all other pistol mags. 5 rounds for semi automatic centerfire rifle/shotgun.
