Wish T2’s weren’t so expensive. I plan on getting one for this build, I’ve never used one and don’t own an Aimpoint. Have always been happy with my trij MRO. all the cool kids have an Aimpoint so I guess I should join the band wagon. Also will make the clone be more correct lol

I ordered on the 23rd also. Email yesterday said they are 4-6 weeks.

posted this elsewhere but it applies here and there have been a bunch of comments about different shades of ODG:

definitely a couple of different shades of odg out there. 2 of the 3 i received are lighter in color, the 3rd is a much darker odg.

the darker odg was ordered in the first order, roughly 1 hour after the BF sales started. i felt lucky getting one since they sold out so quickly before geissele added additional stock to all of the rails.

the other 2 were ordered the following day, and arrived 2 weeks later than the first order.

personally i'm a fan of the lighter/brighter odg shades.

same camera, same flash, same overhead light, snapped ~10 seconds within each other.

rail #1 (2nd order)

rail #2 (2nd order)

rail #3 (1st order, before stock was added)

View Quote A very small spot that missed being anodized. It was a reddish brown spot. It’s visible on the pics I posted on the top of the page. Bottom rail just behind the pic rail on the 11 o’clock position. Just sent it back today.

My replacement has scratches, but they aren't as noticible. My 9.3" replacement is perfect... The blem had a gouge showing raw aluminum deformation on the top rail.

I sent a photo to CD asking if this was to be expected and got an email back saying no that is noticible and they send me out a replacement a couple of days later. I would have been fine if they had told me to pound sand that it's to be expected.

Got mine in yesterday. Almost looked black before shining the light on it. Is it heresy to use this hand guard on anything other than a clone?

Here it is mocked up with a Novekse 14.5” Afghan, saker 556 on a pistol lower at the moment. Balances so great especially with the suppressor on there for some reason, but I’m not complainin

Yep, I do like the lighter shades as well but as i'm poor an only ordered one I'll take the darker shade!

Lol yeah I was taking a picture of a mk14 rail I was selling and I figured I would show the color on my mk4. The wrench is for a mk14
