Do you guys think the 14.5 is worth the price, if your not into cloning, just based on quality and performance alone?
I have the 10.3 URGI and an 18 inch SPR (DD stainless barrel, not clone). Feel the urge to get a 14.5 or 16 mid-length. Its either 14.5 URGI, KAC or LMT. |

@CD, do you ever install carbine gas SOCOM barrels with these new rails?

Has anyone heard about the in-house barrels Geissele is allegedly going to start selling these with? At the SHOT Show, one of the guys at their booth told me they would no longer be selling them with Daniel Defense barrels but rather their own. Although he did tell me that the military would still get DD barrels as that was in the contract...

Agreed. That would suck if true.
If so, it would appear I waited too long. Unless it's being sourced by FN or something like that... |

A Geissele barrel makes the upper much less appealing.

Buy a MK16 rail (hope for the NSN Marked variant), colt upper, and DD CHF 14.5 mid with the gas block complete from DD(which always seem to be out of stock everywhere). That setup gets you exactly what is issued to the military in the URG-i kit's. |
