Thanks

I made an assumption that they were Geissele gas blocks.  But that's what comes with the kit.

Correct, same gun but Mk13 EGLM 40mm added.  10 rds HEDP fired today and rail still appears to be straight.

That's the low profile gas block that is an option when buying a barrel from DD now. I tried to buy one less than a month ago and was told it wasn't available separately, ended up buying a new barrel with it installed. My V11SLW has that gas block as well.

Interesting to see CD is using the good ol' BEV block. I knew it was a quality tool from my own use, but that's a pretty good endorsement.

I'm guessing it's a dedicated carrier for use with the BEV, so it doesn't get mixed in with the regular carriers.

I figured it was so it wouldn't be used in a live weapon, but I didn't know the BEV block required a BCG for use.

I dead lined that carrier as it has a small hairline crack in it (Colt).  So, its used for the BEV block and other tasks like checking gas tube alignment when building uppers.  Painted it red so I can find it on the bench, does get messy at times.

Crack is very small and limited.  It would probably run several thousands more rounds.  But not going to send out potential problems not when lives are at stake.

That's a Daniel defense low pro gas block, not a G one.

It's the same one that comes on the mk18 barrel assemblies when you don't choose the MK12 block.

I have never used a BEV block so I didn't understand the need for the BCG. Did some looking around and now it makes sense.

@WTFShane, here you go...

My URG-I with Geissele receiver extension and CH. The grip is from B5 in coyote and there is the True North Concepts GripStop. It's a pretty good match to the grip and stock (also a B5) so I like it. Might have to get one for my ODG FBI build.

I’ve actually been looking at picking one of these up for that exact purpose since they’re more low profile. I’ve been using a vintage 6 inch Reed but would like to upgrade.

I scored this one for a whopping $0 from my last job. We had 4 or 5 more but I think the boss scrapped them. If I would've known he was going to, I would've grabbed the rest of them. He had no idea what they cost new, he just bought them with a bunch of other machinist stuff at an auction.

It sorta looks like a ZroDelta:  https://zrodelta.com/products/opticmounts/

These URG-I guns are all over the place.  Until the SVP-S scopes start showing up, you could get away with a lot of different things.

Are you using a reaction rod or some form of bev block? I have removed tons of rocksett-ed muzzle devices with just a 12 inch socket wrench.
Rocksett is not even as strong as blue loctite
