I guess mine technically counts
Finally found a scope I like looking through. Even if it is a bit of a pig on a 5.5 pound bare rifle. 14.5 Gunner barrel with integrated flash hider so I squeak by on a technicality for "mini". Attached File |

What did the barrel length end up being? View Quote 4 is 1 right? Yeah... the Mid Ras ended up getting the boot to help fund another 300blk clone. It's safe to say the Long Ras mini will be in the stable for a while. Adco chopped the barrel to 13.1. If I were to do it over again; I'd cut the barrel to 13 even. |

Can anyone tell me their velocities on a 12.5” with Mk262 or any 75/77 grain load?
I’ve got a 12.5 Triarc that should be here tomorrow and will be fed IMI 77 grain for its primary round. |
|
|
|
Thanks! Any other folks have experience with it?
I keep reading ~2850 @ 20”, ~2650 @ 16”. I was assuming I’d be ~2450 @ 12.5” so 2550 would be nice. |

View Quote Lots of variables here but 2550 would get you on man sized steel out to 500 or so for sure. Here is a good thread about SBR velocities. Elevation, suppressor, and type of barrel play a bug role https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Suppressed-5-56-SBR-Velocity-Tests--41-Factory-Loads-from-10-5--11-5--12-5-and-14-5-ALL-DONE-/16-714088/? A chrono is a must have for anyone trying to put in some serious accuracy on small steel at distance. Unless you want to dial and adjust like crazy then true your dope. |

I get about 2450 with an 11.3 and 77TMKs. 2550 is a good estimate.

Thanks, got the 12.5 Triarc in today. Will wear an OSS Helix 762 QD whenever my stamp gets approved. At or near sea level (central Alabama).
Can anyone give me a good link on how to SBR a lower? Considering going that route. Lead times? |

View Quote E-forms tend to come back in a month +/- but sometimes people get the short end of the stick and are stuck in "pending research" purgatory. If you're filing a lower from a known quantity, IE the website recognizes the mfg and autopopulates it, you'll likely be OK. |

Had it cut for a flush suppressor fit with a 12.5 barrel.

All that's cooled off now so I found a WC 11.3 on optics planet and built another. I got that mount for $250! It was previously rattle canned but still a great deal! This one is incredibly balanced with the 17oz optic and 5ish oz mount. Going to tune the Superlative Arms AGB tomorrow morning...Turbo K too gassy. |

If you ever crawl inside an old hollow log and go to sleep, and while you're in there some guys come and seal up both ends and then put it on a truck and take it to another city, boy, I don't know what to tell you.

Slowly piecing together an upper. Trying to decide what optic to use. I'm leaning towards an nx8 in a 1.7 tall mount. I like the small size of it. Thought I'd ask you guys, should I go with an nx8 or do you have other options I should look at?
Thanks |
