You guys running the PRI third gen rail with AEM5s partially recessed, do you have problems with the screws for the picatinny mounts on the end of the rail hitting the can under recoil? I seem to remember reading a long time ago that mods were required on the screws or mounts to keep them from hitting the can due to barrel whip.

Ripcord Industries 13.7 Build. The 13.13" rail works perfectly with a BA 13.7 barrel and Dead Air FH. Leaves about 1/8th of an inch with the can on.

Here is my 13.7. Sons barrel, mk6 and 509T in a 1.7” C1 mount. Turned from my pinned and welded beater to my favorite stick.
Hybrid is a long boi can but now that so many cans are capable of using my keymount adapter I’m not sure which small can to throw on this. Any suggestions? https://imgur.com/a/owMvBTt |

So that’s just the RMR plate and holosun ships their 509 with like an adapter plate I guess you’d call it. Raises it off that j arm slightly which I imagine would be a pain on a pistol slide but actually worked really well on this as an offset. Maybe it’s too many tolerances stacked but it hasn’t been an issue for me. C1 mount is a 1.7” |

Hopefully this would be the right place to ask. Looking to build a 12.5 upper, as for rail looking at the MI 12.625 slim handguard and was wondering if I can get away with a BA 12.5 barrel and a Surefire Brake and or Closed Tine and have the gap be probably as TIGHT as possible while still being able to mount a SF can on it. Or would the brake/hider be about even steven or tucked into the rail not allowing for a can to be mounted.

Thanks! I managed to actually find a 13.7 BA barrel to compensate on the length. I'm just wondering for visual reference, if anyone has any, they can provide if at all possible. Google doesn't seem to be as helpful as I'd hoped.
