Will do. I think we may try and use what's available for their 3-gun setups, but we'll probably piece something of our own together at some point.

(same load for subs was about 1.4" at 100y, which is the furthest I'll ever end up shooting them so I'm happy with that)

Anywho.

What Barrel length and velocity are you getting with that SST? I haven’t spent time trying to reload supers in a few years. I’ve got some lil gun and I’d like to find a reasonably fast and accurate super load to take advantage of a magnified optic on the 300.

I'm so torn over doing another mini or doing something with an MRE.  Especially since I have an unexpected optic coming my way.

10.5; no idea on velocity.  I go for accuracy, not as concerned with speed (especially from an SBR).  The scope has a BDC type reticle that actually surprisingly works *REALLY* well for both supers and subs.  Took a doe with a subsonic (CNS) at 74 yards, another doe and a button buck with 125 Nosler Ballistic Tips (same load as the SST) this year.  The CNS shot dropped instantly obviously; the NBT supersonic harvests went about 20-30 yards and piled up.  Lungs were absolutely liquified on both.  no bullet recovery; golf ball exit wounds on both.

I've got some blackout loading to do before my next range trip, but inshallah i can find some diffuser screens for my buddy's chrono I could probably set it up and get some velocity.  I don't shoot the blackout unsuppressed.

Found this pic of the doe I got with supers outta the blackout.  Her front teeth were the only ones she had left.  I'm incredibly fortunate in that I have a friend who does wildlife control on a lot of county and state property, so we have the ability to fill the freezer (and by that i mean the entire chest freezer is completely full) every year.  I'm repaying by getting him some hog access in TX when I'm down there in March.

Finally got a chance to take the short recce out to the range.

14in mid gas Optimum barrel from Black River Tactical makes me look like a decent shooter. Shot today and yesterday, both IMI 77gr Razorcore and CBC Magtech 77gr producing groups like this both days.

I figured it was and was just curious if it was the one people have mentioned that costs less. I can't for the life of me even remember what brand that was.

Arms Unlimited makes a copy of the Norgon but from what I’ve seen the quality isn’t up to par as the Norgon.

And for the sake of completeness (cause I can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday let alone whether i posted this photo already ) here's the doe that got taken with subs way earlier in the season (this was back when it still had a PA 1-4x on it, which is a fantastic range scope, but really lacks in light transmission for hunting at first and last shooting light):

Wanted to update you guys: @cdholmes with the hook up! Sold me a M4 collar he had and didn't need. Thanks brother!

I gotta say that the wealth of knowledge and courtesy shared on this site makes me so happy to be a part of the ar15 community.

And apparently the ATF NFA branch is not answering status checks anymore due to their phone inquiry system being over loaded from the shutdown. Looks like the Omega 9K wait could go on much longer than expected. I *NEED* it for the micro recce.

To put it in perspective, I'm officially at 368 days from the ATF receiving and entering my saker and status is still "awaiting background check from the FBI". I'd say it's already out of hand. This was going to be for my 12.5 recce, but at this rate who knows

I've only got about 100 rounds through it so far, but my initial response is positive. I like the mil reticle in it, it's simple, yet useful, and on 1x, its incredibly fast. I'll be using this rifle at a few RECCE competitions this summer, like the Geissele Gas gun series, so we'll see what I think of it then. But so farm I'm quite happy with it in the Geissele 2.04" mount.

Since this isn't a GD thread

The AEM2 will be close on the 12.5" but nothing like these.

His barriers are made of pallets, but that backstop dirt would likely require a mini ex to dig up from behind.  Unless you have a heavy Bobcat and a hillside to pull from, you will need a delivery.

The move is to dig a small pond way off in the corner and use that dirt to build your berms. Stock it with a few largemouth bass and before you know it, you'll have a thriving pond to wet a line in, AND free dirt to build yourself a berm. I'd also recommend building your berm(s) 360-degrees if possible so you can train to shoot in any direction. One-direction ranges kinda limit what you can do.
