7 1/2 and 8 1/2 work like a charm.

I say the same thing but then there's a part of me that will still shell out for a Mk4 LR/T

Same. I view it very similar to restoring old muscle cars and keeping them all original.

Yep. They’re about what I figured they would be

What were they the last time NF released them? $17-1800??

Hopefully these new ones will atleast bring the used prices back to reality

I wonder if Leupold has plans to do the same with their legacy Mark 4 line. I'm sure they'd sell just a quickly. Seems now is the time considering how many companies are cashing in on it.

I thought Leupold was bringing that line back considering they released new TS30A2’s and 3.5-10 Mark 4’s. But i haven't seen anything since

Are you referring to the Midway release a few years back?

I thought the ts30A2's were simply NOS from the USMC M38 program. Thought that was the last of them. But yeah, I could see them cash in on that.

Hey all, if y'all need me I'll be on insta as tacitblue83, HaveBlue83 as a backup, and FB as Brinton Evans. I'm no longer a paying member here, and the EE is completely jacked to the point I can't even list or buy anything anymore. I have no reason to be on here daily like I was. I don't want to miss anyone so just find me on Facebook or insta. If u can't I'll check here and there for a PM periodically.

The EE is dead. long live the old EE.

How is the EE jacked? It's so much easier to search for things now without an hour of scrolling through page after page hoping what your looking for is in there.

Put it in list view. Hit filter. Then type in what you're looking for in the keyword.

The image hosting is so much better as well. No more Imgur uploads for sale stuff.

The messaging thing is kinda annoying but it does make it easier once you get the hang of it.

It’s possible they’re over runs from the M38 program, but mine has a an AJ date code (2022), so it’s fairly new.

It was a current production 112633 with the slab side, tether, and alignment markings.  Ugliest scope ever made imo

The grey box under the Leupold logo makes me think it was one of the 2.5-8 TS30A2’s that were refurbed by Leupold and had the “TS30A2” covered up.

Someone posted one 10 pages back: https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Official-Mk12-Mod0-Mod1-ModH-Photo-and-Discussion-Thread/118-520524/?page=1175#i8645948

Quite possible.  Would appear it has the current production turrets as well given the larger bolder white lettering on them too.

After replacing the tube, turrets, and illumination housing there’s not much of the original left at that point. But I’d bet you’re right about it being a refurb.

Once I figured out the drop, I was getting about 50% success rate with the 22lr conversion at 245 yards on 1/3rd IPSC.

CMMG I believe. I've had it 15-ish years.

ETA: At that range, the 22 was dropping in at a very steep angle. Occasionally I'd catch a glimmer off of round and see it falling in.

Question for the people -

I finally snagged a ras long, and I have a centurion mk12 barrel (incredibly nice barrel). I’m building a “near clone”… how quickly would I be ran out of here if I were to get the barrel dimpled?

Colt receiver, kac rail, mk12 barrel, kac buis, kac/Harris bipod, NF 2.5-10x42

It’s my gun anyways….

It's your rifle.  I'm just wondering why the dimples?  Weight savings?  If so how much?

This is where I’m at. Why build a near-clone, when the big change you’re looking to do doesn’t seem to add much benefit beyond paying for machining (or spending your time to do it) and getting ridiculed in this thread

How much weight are you actually taking off the gun with dimples? She’s chunky either way, so skip the dimples, hit the gym one more time per week, and build an awesome Mk 12 and post pics here.

Just my .02

Behind the gas block on the meaty portions of the barrel? It would be awesome if done properly by Nefarious Arms.

I had a Noveske Afghan 14.5 inch barrel dimpled. It's hidden under the handguard and no one really sees it unless I point it out or they're inspecting the AR.

Edit: To answer your question: do what you want. There will be a few that don't like it, but a lot of people will think it's cool.
