View Quote The PRI is designed to be usable with a regular handguard setup, so it also matters whether your barrel shoulder is as well. As an example, I believe LaRue barrels are not spaces for a handguard, so you would have the FSB flush with the shoulder. I believe Nuttnfancy has experienced this first hand I used a chunk of handguard cap to space mine, all seems to work fine on a White Oak SPR barrel. EDIT: are you saying between the FSB and the Ops Inc collar? Because that is a result of a shorter sleeve vs the original ones. |

I have Rainier arms match 18" wylde spr barrel, and I do mean between the FSB and the shoulder. When I get back my upper at that time I will decide if I want to get a more correct collar. The reason I ask I want to make sure I don't have any gas port issues. I will add the first time I saw everything put together on the rainier arms upper I saw the flip sight was bumping up against the handguard. Since I have had him take it apart and reinstall everything on a Colt A3 M4 upper I just want to make sure I can eliminate any issue before I take her out for the first time. |

Would it be wrong to use the LT104 with Loopy glass on the Mod 1? For operator sake?

Could the pin/weld be flush against the brake such that the collar screws over it? If you ever moved to Free America, you would still be able to get the suppressor on there. HCS pinned the brake to the barrel and left the suppressor threads still able to screw on the thread protector or the can. Unfortunately, NJ can still recognize that as a threaded barrel so I had to also weld the thread protector to the brake on top of the HCS job. If I ever move to free America, I just need to remove the welded brake and install a new one. Bullshit laws. The tapered collar is not pinned. That is normal. |

Uncle
Sam's Misguided Children I was cloning before cloning was cool: Mk12, Mk13, Mk18, M4 Block II |
Ok maybe you guys can help me and have a laugh at the same time. Well my issues are yesterday I finally was able to pick up my Mod 0 upper from the guy who was putting it together for me. When I first posted the first pic of my build it was on a Rainier arms billet upper. When I decided to go more clone correct I picked up a
Colt M4 A3 Alcoa forge upper and had him take it apart to put the Colt upper on. So while I was looking it over I noticed a couple of things. First when he installed my Arms #38 peq 2-3 rail on the very end of the Pri handguard the 8.5" rail on the handguard sticks out about a half an inch in front of the arms rail is there any way to make it flush with the arms rail. As most of the mod 0 pics I have seen they are flush. I can't tell if it is installed correctlly or if there is something off or the 8.5" handguard rail can be adjusted. The holes for the two screws on top of the arms rail do not line up at all with the ones on the pri handguard rail. Second He lost the two screws that came with the arms rail he said he didn't see them but they were in the bag since the arms rail I got was new in the bag and they were in there when I bought it. Can I get these two screws from somewhere ? And for the laugh I showed him three times how the Ops inc collar is supposed to sit on the step on the barrel well he installed it backwards up against the Ops inc muzzle brake sheesh . Hope you guys can give me some help thanks. F.Y.I. I can't post pics right now of the rail issue I am out of town on business right now but I will as soon as I get back home. |

Pics would help. I imagine you are referring to the upper rail section. There is adjustment, but I don't know about 1/2 inch worth. I'm almost thinking he may not have the dowels lined up and engaged in the slots (barrel nut not aligned) or the nut isn't on properly, causing the entire hand guard to sit forward. Defiantly send that thing off to someone who knows what they're doing, or do it yourself. Do NOT let him touch that upper again. |

I am still trying to get a correct gas block for a Mod 1 build. Are most people using the Daniel Defense version now instead of the Badger Ordnance?
As much as I know this isn't "correct" I am planning on pinning the gas block, so I am curious if the dimensions are the same or similar between these two gas blocks? |

I am still trying to get a correct gas block for a Mod 1 build. Are most people using the Daniel Defense version now instead of the Badger Ordnance? As much as I know this isn't "correct" I am planning on pinning the gas block, so I am curious if the dimensions are the same or similar between these two gas blocks? View Quote I'll be using Badger. Why use the DD when they're about the same price, and AFAIK, DD was never used on Mk 12 rifles? |

When I first posted the first pic of my build it was on a Rainier arms billet upper. When I decided to go more clone correct I picked up a Colt M4 A3 Alcoa forge upper and had him take it apart to put the Colt upper on. View Quote As long as he torqued the nut and retaining collar correctly , the rest is easily corrected by yourself. If I were at home I would offer to build it correctly. |

In the absence of a plan, move toward the sound of gunfire and kill everything.
If it aint a clone or the gun being cloned, it aint shit. |
