That's just ridiculous. KAC should tool up and flood the market again just to stop the price gouging.

I was about to laugh and say no one in their right mind would bid on it.  Then I saw the winning bid

agreed.

i'm not mad at the sellers; in fact i laud them for their bidness savvy.

i'm a smidge irked at the buyers for setting the market that high.

Wow, 53 days is not bad compared to what I was expecting. Kevin @ HCS quoted my 8-10 weeks.

Hopefully, my Form 3 goes that fast.

Bought 4/2 and got the email from Steve today that it's in. Which means it likely came Friday or Saturday since today is a Holiday.

A1 stock and not touching the CH. About an inch back.

Not sure if the 104 or 139 would be better.

An LT104 will be fine.

My NF 1-4 has less eye relief than your 2.5-10 and I have had zero issues with it.

LT158 would be best if you plan on seeing how far you can sling a 77gr SMK.

If the eye relief on the x32 is similar to the x24, I would go with the LT104. If it is longer, or similar to a Leupold, I would advise the LT139. I run one for my L 3.5-10x40 and it's perfect, with plenty of adjustment room. I "set it" for use with an A1 stock; then switching back to a SOPMOD is no problem, obviously.

Best thing to do is find where you want to be behind the gun, and move the scope until it feels right. Do this in the prone, not off hand, of course. Then, notate that position, and see which mount will get you there. You'll notice on my LT139, I run it back toward the rear BUIS--I can always move it forward, but you may have limitations with the LT104 (or non "super extended" versions)

My recommendation is go with the LT104. If it doesn't work, resale might be easier than the LT139, as well.

See pics of mk12 with LT139 with Leupold 3.5-10x40, and Block II with NF 2.5-10x24 (Bobro mount same dimensions roughly as an LT104)

Ehere have you found it where you get a choice, or are you just wondering?  Asking because of all the knurling/ no knurling speculation recently.

The guy I use for my transfers is ordering it direct from Allen Engineering and according to the guy i messaged on Allen Engineerings Facebook  I can have him order either one. I think the knurling would be the best for grip. If I can sell my U.S Optics ER25 I am going to order one.

Two things happened today:

I got copies of my Trust made, and am going to Capitol Armory tomorrow to start F4. I could have had my AEM5 by now, but life happened...

I went to the bank and got a cashier's check.

I really wish that I had similar luck.  I have tried 2 or 3 different local CLIII dealers to try to get them to contact AE so I can purchase through the local dealer vs. online purchase with transfer.  Six in one hand and 1/2 dozen in the other, but that's how I would prefer to go about it...  none have followed up.  If I don't hear something by the end of the week, I will just purchase from Ron and have transfer done.

Where's the rest of the gun that goes with that collar and brake?

Heads up for early SPR and Mod 0 guys!

There is a Vari-X III 3.5-10 Illum Mil Dot M3 on Evilbay. Looks like it only has the 223 turrets, but you can probably find the .308 one. This is the correct optic for early SPR or the Retro uppers PRI released.

Also there is a 3.5-10 M1 MilDot Illum in EE, it is newer so a turret swap to M3s should be easy.

I am not in a position to move on the Evilbay scope sadly, as that is just what I would want for my someday early build.

Damn I hate you guys. I've read through over 100 pages of this thread and now I've got to scratch this MK12 itch.

Probably the same place where the rest of my Mk12 parts are.

Some range time this weekend with Dad and my Aunt. Aunt's first time shooting a rifle. She is spoiled now from that AEM5.

Is this about to be a poop thread?

ON TOPIC

Anyone with Gen I handguard early SPRs, would anyone be willing to provide the dimensions for the button head screws? I am tempted to see whether the set screws of the Gen II could be swapped to give them more of the Gen I look...

300BLK Mod H build in the works. Lower should be back from the engraver soon for SBR Form 1 submission, all other "parts" inbound. Nikon P300BLK glass for daytime plinking... she'll be wearing the IRH MKII thermal for night time activities.
