Thanks for the compliments fellas, from one tanoholic to another.
That's a pretty old picture and she looks a bit different now with a vortex razor instead of the eotech setup. I thought it would be a fun addition to all your great looking rifles in this thread. |

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if you buy a Geissele receiver set are they typically anodized together and relatively match or is it luck of the draw?

View Quote The two sets I’ve had (DDC and OD) have matched very well. However, when you buy from their site you have to acknowledge you’ve read/understand their information on “Anodizing Shade Variations and Finish Methods” (excerpt below). For me anyway, the differences in shade/hue are part of why I like the color anodized receivers, etc. “…Because of this the color on our rails, receivers and other aluminum parts can and will vary from one part to the next, even within the same batch. It is impossible to put together a rifle where all shades of Type 3 Hardcoat match. Even our black anodized parts, which are very consistently “black”, may show some different shades in certain lighting such as hints of blues, purples and greys. Our distinctive anodized colors such as DDC, DRT, DAK, OD Green, 40mm Green, Grey and Swedish Green will never be consistent.” |

Not sure if I'm being over particular but rolled the dice on blemed Geissele super duty ddc mk16 and stripped upper. Not sure if I should keep or send down the river and try again. Was hopping for more mismatched color and that rail would at least have some Geissele markings

While I’m pleased to see more options, I’m slightly bummed my Tanodized Aero set is no longer quite so unique…
