Is that an M-lok slot? If so, just FYI, there are already products made to do that. The Unity Tactical M-LOK Compatible FUSION Adapter does exactly what you're trying to do; basically direct mount the light to the M-lok slot. It's by far the lowest profile option for mounting any light using the Surefire Scout system to and M-lok platform. Here's a picture of my M600DF mounted with it. There's also another company making their version of the same thing, though I can't remember who at the moment.

Is that short SR cable on the right something that you spliced yourself, or did Surefire offer a shorter cable than the SR07 in the past? I can’t find any reference to one, but that would be perfect for at least one application that I have in mind. Looks great!

I’m a big fan of Gear Sector’s products. I love the clean, secure mounting options they provide. I’ve only really used their sling mounts up to this point, but I’ll have to look at a Scout mount in the future.

I'm planning on picking up a Cloud Defensive streamlight mount for the SR-07 as soon as Big Tex gets them back in stock.
