Here are a couple of my latest Noveske based builds that I just completed.

THE BIG BROTHER
The .308 Noveske was based off of a stripped N6 lower and I have put 90 rounds through it with irons only.  It has pulled groups in the 1-1.5 MOA range at 100 with irons, in very heavy wind.  Wind at 100 wreaked more havoc on moving the target then affecting anything else.  I just got the scope mount and have not fired the rifle yet to zero the scope.

Lower
- Stripped Noveske N6 lower 7.62
- Colt Lower Parts w/Armalite Bolt catch, Bolt release, front and rear take down pins
- Geissele SDC trigger
- LMT ambidextrous safety selector
- Noveske QD end plate
- Magpul MOE K grip
- Magpul enhanced trigger guard
- Vltor AR10 carbine tube
- AR10 spec spring & Buffer (H3)
- Vltor EMOD stock
- Armalite M14 type newest generation mags (10, 20 and 25 rounders)

Upper
- Noveske 18" SS heavy barrel upper
- Noveske BCG
- BCM / Vltor Gunfighter .308 charging handle
- Noveske front and rear flip back up iron sights
- Smith Vortex Flash Hider (I have a BattleComp for the .308 but not sure I want to run it)
- American Defense S QD mount
- Leupold Mark4 ER 4.5-14 30mm FFP M5
- Harris Bipod with American Defense QD mount
- BFG Vicker VCAS sling
- Streamlight TLR1S light
- Magpul ladder rail covers

Weight - As configured in the photo (dry weight, minus the mag) is 13lbs 6 ozs.

Updating the archive.

This was pictured right after I got it on page 44.  Since then I've gone with foliage green furniture, SD-E trigger, changed optics, etc.

Here is the 14.5" Lo-Pro VIS with switchblock and AAC 51T Blackout, wearing the NF 2.5-10x32 with LV reticle in a Bobro mount.  FYI, The entire rifle is a dark parkerized gray color (custom KG finish done by Noveske) and the barrels were done in black.

The above 14.5" upper is an interesting config for sure...something I've wanted to try since long before I heard about the SEALs using the NF 2.5-10x32 on their 416's.  I will say this, though...this scope isn't necessarily married to that upper just yet...more like an affair at least until I can see how much I like shooting it.  Seems like it should be a handy little general purpose setup...something I can carry around and shoot off-hand if needed, but be relatively pinpoint when shooting off a bipod or rest, out to 300 or so.  If I think it's not enough barrel for the scope, the NF will end up on the matching 18" upper (laying in front of the rifle), which is obviously a more traditional pairing.  Still considering a TR24 for the 14.5" upper, regardless of which one the NF ends up going on.

That's the good thing about nice QD mounts...I can have two optics for one upper if I want.

The matching upper laying on the ground is basically just a "tacticool paper puncher" right now...18" SPR with a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 FFP with illuminated reticle...Noveske branded AD Recon mount on that one.

Sorry about the bathroom floor photo...most even lighting in the house.  I'll have to get this rifle (and a half) in the photo studio at my shop sooner than later.  She's pretty.

And yes - I realize the vertical grips are "too close to the mag well", and on the 18" upper it may seem pretty dumb to have one at all, but I don't really use them for shooting...I just like having an extra "handle" for manipulating the rifle.

Here it is with the SPR upper...my tacticool paper puncher.

I take my little brother out and we shoot ten shot bullseye matches at 100 yards at the Lake City shooting range (down the street from the ammo plant) with this upper.  He shoots ten and I shoot ten....it's a 1" bullseye, which we've more than proven the rifle is capable of hitting ten out of ten shots (Black Hills 77 grain). Losing basically comes down to getting sloppy and sending a flyer.  We've used a lot of ammo going for a tie breaker.

The scope is a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 FFP w/Illuminated reticle.  Not the best glass, but it's good enough for what I'm doing with it (shooting informal target matches at the range and hitting steel further out on occasion).

That Nightforce 2.5-10 might end up being the go-to scope for this upper.  I guess I'll just have to burn some ammo and find out.

I should have my "areis" done next week when my barrel and noveke upper receiver gets here from Rainer. I still haven't decided what lower to use though. I have a knights and a noveske lower begging to go on the rifle.

It really sucks only being about 15 minutes from Rainier,  These are "belm" Gen II's I was lucky there is not anything majorly wrong with this one. One tiny pinhole just under the s/n and the annodizing seems a little rough, not as smooth to the touch as one my Ares Lower.  Speaking with the Boys at Rainier some of them are not as in good as shape as this one.  Im just going to stash this one away for a rainy day.

Got mine today and it has a nick between the holes for the hammer and trigger pins and one on the other side but they are barely noticeable. Kinda hate to paint it.

First post/first build!!  I can't think of a better way to kick things off than in the Noveske thread.

I have been waiting a loooooong time to make this post.  Started with a stripped lower that I got for our anniversary last year.  Been slowly gathering parts ever since then.  I suppose good things come to those who wait.  We have one more stripped lower that will be turned into a 14.5" Noveske (little brother) soon.  I apologize for my photo skills.  I don't quite have Stickman's talent.

Noveske 18" SPR 5.56 upper
TNW billet lower

RRA 2 stage trigger

I have been waiting a loooooong time to make this post.  Started with a stripped lower that I got for our anniversary last year.  Been slowly gathering parts ever since then.  I suppose good things come to those who wait.  We have one more stripped lower that will be turned into a 14.5" Noveske (little brother) soon.  I apologize for my photo skills.  I don't quite have Stickman's talent.

That's one hell of a first post!! I've had my Noveske SPR of over three years and to this day, it's still the most accurate 5.56 AR I own. Mine really loves Hornady TAP 75gr 5.56 and MK262 77gr...
