The other lost zero but I found the screw was loose and the LAM moved around. I need to mess with them both a bit more. Dropping them throws the zero off no matter what, although people who have messed with real PEQ-15's in the old SG thread said they do the same when dropped. |

With a few tweaks, I think SG would have a winner clone. Now that nighttime is fitting earlier I can do testing easier. Unfortunately I am outside of the warranty but I consider it a beta test as I will eventually report my results on the forum. |

For 250 these things work well. I have SG-15's on all my training rifles now. Although I do more patrolling than live fire, they hold up well, for what I'm doing. It was funny, I was reading another thread, where these guys are all building these clone rifles, and the comment was made: "what if you were marching to the gates of hell"? or something like that. Would you use a particular piece of equipment. First of all I was thinking, no need to walk so far, just go to your nearest democrat-run city; and then I was thinking, yeah I'd probably still run the SG-15, because I'd try to run with the RDS on NV first, and only use illum if necessary. So for me, in a more rural setting, using illum is not my primary technique. The LAM is just not as important as it once was. As always and forever, YMMV. I know we all love to get on here and flex with our cool shit, but, for what a lot of folks may be doing, a good -14 and a SG-15 are gonna be just fine. That is a very capable NV set up for around 4K. |

I've never really understood why they don't just like double the strength of the zero adjustment detent springs and solder the connectors when potting. That's what they need. Everything else is generally pretty great about them. The radio silence on the NGAL version is somewhat concerning, though. |

From info in this thread, their location in China is something like the size of a closet. They're a very small operation, operating in a shit hole country. It's not that easy to come out with new products. I would hope that they're taking the time to ensure that their NGAL is beefier than their PEQ15's. |

For somebody ordering today, would you put in an order for the InvisibleSight NGAL or keep waiting for the Somogear NGAL to come out? I'm more concerned with lead time and quality than price. I'd order the IS today if I had some idea of lead time. 8 months - sure no problem. 12 months - maybe. 2 years - no thanks. I have 2 of the Somogear PEQ-15s and both seem to work fine but I want the more robust design and smaller footprint of the NGAL. |

No way I'd wait what these guys have - that's longer than a Form-4. You could part time Amazon drive and make $40K in 2 years |

I have a feeling it will be out before I order a IS product. On the SG PEQ-15 front, I plan to run it in Red Oktober after dark (if they have it again) on my Galil MAR. I'll be testing both of them on the gun to see if they hold zero. I ran a Perst-4 and Malkoff IR 250 setup on my AKS-74U. I like running shorties at matches for fun and the MAR should be ready to go by then. |

Why would you wait eight months for something like this when you can have a DBAL D2? A KIJI and an LS221? A DesignatIR? There are a bunch of options out there that will work for you that you can have now. Are they going to have the same form factor as an NGAL? No, not unless you spend 5k and you're ok with possessing stolen property. There's no way I would ever give this guy money at this current point in time. I seriously don't know why people are spending money with this guy. I commend whomever has the patience to spend a grand and wait two years for something that may or may not ever come. |

I placed my order the first week in January. I wouldn't purchase in this climate unless he catches up on orders and we actually see these in the hands of forum members. If he doesn't ship next week, I'm going to pursue him offering a refund. If he fights the refund, I'm going the route of credit card charge back fraud. I've had patience, but there comes a time where I'd value having access to my money rather than waiting on what may or may not eventually ship. |

I recently traded one for a really nice PVS-14. I still have one new in the box as a backup. I should have bought more when they were readily available. There's no way in hell I'd put up with those wait times for an IS Ngal, but to each their own. The guy obviously puts out a great product but he cannot keep up with demand. |

Thanks guys, looks like I'll keep waiting for the SG option to see how it does when it eventually comes out. I like the aluminum housing and form factor of the NGAL, but I'm not ok spending $5k for a gray market item that is potentially stolen or a paperweight if it breaks. If there was a legit US made full power NGAL in the $2k price range I'd be happy to buy it. |

Here's his latest response from a few hours ago.. Fingers crossed we'll see a flood of shipping notifications this week! Hi, First units will be going out on Monday arranging shipment. See pictures on the finished unit. Note, just cell-phone pictures, will post better pictures one the website later. I have an employee helping me out with the production. Currently production arte is 15 units a week. It's a matter of days for your unit to be shipped. Thanks jx |

I'm sure you'd be happy to buy it along with everyone else in the country because even a legit purchased NGAL is a minimum $3500 agency price. Look at how FP PEQ-15's are priced vs neutered versions; very close to the same price. |

Got this as a reply: "Sorry for the long delay. I'm shipping units out already. People will start receiving the latest version NGAL these days. I ship out once an unit is ready based on the ordering date. Now that I have a employee to help me with the production. Current the production rate is about 15 units a week. Working 7 days a week. It won't take much longer." Some of the Korean airsoft forums had mentioned him, I need to go back and see if they've gotten any. |

Well as far as what was festering, there was a little kerfluffle in the NV forum, vis-a-vis what's permissible to talk about over there. So this thread (and I suppose anymore like them) are now supposed to be in the airsoft/milsim forum. Also there are some other issues, such as IP infringement, logos used without permission, and perhaps even FP lasers, oh my. But to several points, you can still see gray market stuff in the EE, so WTF some would say. I think this here SG PEQ-15 is perfectly legit, because, as one wag pointed out, it's now way off-patent, and the goberment whoores have made their obscene profits, so why not. |

If anyone finds stolen items in the EE, please report them. There's not a lot of knowledge of this stuff in there and the crew could use the help. Understand that anything sold that was stolen will eventually be recovered and the buyer will lose their money and item. It's best to help the community before this happens. |

| I'm glad this thread is back over here. People need to be able to read about these products so they can make informed decisions. Hiding it does people doing research a disservice. How many times do you show up to a range and see someone with a decent mid level AR, but they purchase something like a Pinty 3-9x scope with a laser and then struggle to zero the scope for two hours (although it seems like their red dot on top usually works)? I watched two guys on the same day show up with this exact configuration and they left in frustration because they couldn't get their rifles zeroed. While these guys probably didn't do their research, having more information out there might help people like those two guys make better informed purchase decisions. People looking to get into the NV game need to be able to read about what works, what doesn't, and what might work but with caveats. Of course all of the civilian stuff has caveats. I'm sure we will still see people buy cheap things because they don't do research, or just can't afford more. Threads like this can help people make better decisions and should be easy to find. The CHY-NA lasers are going to be out there and will only grow in the space that the domestic companies are not operating in. I've bought two SG lasers myself to do testing. I have the disposable income to buy them and want to help people who might not have as much make a good purchase decision. The other thing is the people buying these cheap lasers are probably not going to be $1000+ LAM buyers even if they were full power. |

Uh bro, we're back in NV forum, so...probably not. Besides, I don't even know how to do that shit. On waiting for the right LAM. Man that's a tough one. I plan on getting them all, for R&D and what-not. But, if I wanted to get one right now, I'd buy a SG PEQ-15, green, tan, potted. Just because it's here, 90% effective, and available now. I like the NGAL footprint as well, but bird in the hand, and all that. |

| I got one of the peq16's I'll try and report back after I get to shoot with it. One interesting quirk is that it says lower power only, while mine definitely works on the higher settings. Hopefully having the illumination and laser all together helps with zeroing |

What are the chances that if you bought a somogear off their website now you'd get one with the updated plastic? |
