Placeholder scope...Someone stole my scope, mags, and ammo for this one. Thankfully I had the rifle with me...Happened almost two years ago, and I'm still not over all of that being stolen. I've hardly touched my M1A since then.

The only Garand I have left:

It is the Canadian Blackfeather RS and the butt stock is a Battlelink Utility Low Profile Stock from mission first tactical.

Hi Different, the challenge coin was strategically positioned to temporarily hide side rail holes in the stock.

NICE!!!  You got all the good stuff.  Details????

M1A: Loaded?

Carbine:  What manufacture?  Is that sling proper?  I gotta go look at mine but I swear my buckle goes the other way.  Maybe I'm all wet.

Garand:  What manufacture?

How do they shoot?

Great posts.

Thank you.

The M1A is a Springfield standard model. All I did was add a 20 round mag, a sling, and a flash hider with a bayonet lug.

The M1 Carbine is a Inland and it  has a reproduction sling. The sling is installed correctly.

The Garand is a Springfield built in March of 1942.

I have NOT fired any of them. I am more of a military rifle collector than a shooter.

ETA: After all of these years as a user. I just found this forum yesterday.

Ever since my dad got him an M1 carbine, he wanted to gt one for me.  When he saw this one in a pawn shop with a price tag of $450, he talked 'em down to $400 on account of the ugly-ass stock.

AGES later, I finally get a chance to shoot it, twice in one weekend.  Here we are down at a range in a state park in South Carolina.  My Inland is on the right, dad's Winchester on the left.

And here at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol shooting it in a match.

The front sight is distinctly leaning to one side.  It'll zero with the available windage, but just barely.  It has a little clamp-on hickeybob for a front sling swivel and kind of an odd barrel band, so I picked up a new barrel band (Type 1, I think) from a guy I've seen at the local gun shows that pretty much only sells M1 (Garand and carbine) parts.  Great little rifle!

Nice Carbine.  I like the stock.  Not a USGI finish, but purdy.
